Complaint: when garage door replaced there were scratches and markes on it and wanted it fixed I purchesed the garage door on 7/28/2011. Invoice number XXXXX *** was the insttalor. i purchesed the 15'-6'x7' 1st united door, 24 gauge steel long panel white,sectional garage door warranty 5 year parts and 1 year labor. 16' vinyl trim-white whitch was not installed by the installer but myself. inside slide lock, paid $759.00 with check number 2239 and 3539. I purchesed a garage door on 7/28/2011. The door i purchesed was scratched so the installer spray painted the areas with the paint that comes with the garage. At the time it looked ok. over time i noticed discoloration where he sprayed evertime i pull into my driveway. on 6/27/2012 I found my invoice and saw that i had a 5 year parts warranty and a one year labor. I called and spoke to Norman who claims to me the owner and told him my situation. he said he would look into it and see if he can get me some spraypaint to fix the problem. i explained that i didnt want touch up paint because that was already done and the issue why im calling. he stated the he would have to come look at it very rudely like i was lying about it he said he would call me back. 5 hours later i called back and he told me he is getting me spray paint and i told him nicely that i did not want spray paint i would like a paint job on the hole door or the panels replaced. he got really upset and told me he is already speending $250 on paint for me and that i shouldnt of waited almost a year to call him. I told him that he was being very rude to his coustomer that spent $759.00 on a new garage door and that i was still in my 1 year warrenty. he replied again rudely that i still should of called in the begining and stated that i was being very rude to him. I told him that i was going to reporthim to BBB for not standing behined his warranty. If this was and issue that i caused i would pay for the repair but the installor sparypainted the door where he should of painted the hole door or replaced the two panles.
Desired Settlement: All i would of liked is the two pannles replaced or the garage door painted so it all matches. now because how rude he was to me I dont know what i would like I really dont want to deal with this company anymore. if i dont have to deal with the owner i guess i would be fine with the two pannles replaced or paining the garage
Business Response: Business' Initial Response ****** and Delta Door have come to an agreement that his door is to be painted. This issue had been resolved.
BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
