Very stressful dealing with this company. I am a caregiver for my husband who has dementia. Our daughter was able to take us shopping for a one stop shopping day, 6/26/23. I chose Lazboy because I had always believed it was top of the line. Spent over an hour trying different recliners with my husband getting more and more restless. I picked a loveseat that was on the floor and 2 recliners because they were in stock and I needed them as soon as possible. I had not purchased furniture for 22 years. Our recliners purchased from ***** ***** that long ago still worked but were pushback so I thought power would be better. Not so. The quality of he Lazboy doesn't come any where near the old ones. Under the pressure of my husband growing tired, I signed papers stating that I had only 3 days to return them. When they were delivered 7/5/23, one of the recliners did not work at all and the other had a small tear in the leather on the arm. I reported that immediately and on 7/19/23, a repair man showed up. He said he had to order a new power pack and a new arm for the other chair and when they arrived to give them a call. I received the power pack about 8/1/23 but as of 8/15/23 still have not received the arm. Which is weird that they didn't just replace the chair. What if it doesn't match? I called the store on 8/7/23 and was told they would get right on it. Well, I have not heard a single word from them. I emailed the main Lazboy company and complained but still have not heard from them either. Needless to say, their customer service is lousy!Review from Wendi B

Awful, terrible customer service. They take your money at store (Chico, CA) at full price and then you are at their mercy. Took over 4 months to get furniture and then the chair that came didn't match chair purchased in showroom. First one made in USA and second made in Mexico and of very different quality. As of today, 10-27-22, I have spent over 7 hours trying to reach customer service to get service call. Once third party vendor technician came out, he ordered parts to repair sub quality chair. When parts arrived at my home you are required to call into Comfort Care center again to schedule ANOTHER appt. This time I spent over 2 hours trying by text and on hold by phone to get response from customer service. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY SPENT FOR THEIR PRODUCT. Shame on me as the last La-Z-Boy chair was also a dud and I should have know better than to purchase from them again. AWFUL, TERRIBLE, BAD!!!!! I would give zero star rating if possible.Review from Mirna J

After waiting many months for delivery, received furniture that did NOT match the quality in display in the showroom. Additionally, pieces were damaged and we have been told that it will be a 3-month wait for repairs. Only contact info is national 800 number- waits are almost an hour after going through the number maze. Requests for a direct number or extension are ignored by the sales staff who had interacted with us in person. I do not recommend buying from them.Review from Robin S

This review, complaint, is for a sofa I purchased April 3, 2021. I purchased the sofa at the **********, ** store. At the time of purchase, I was told the sofa would be delivered by the end of November. I got a call on October 13th with good news that the sofa would be delivered by the end of October. October came and went and I called on November 6th and was told it would be delivered the third week in November. No sofa came. I called today, 11-23-2021, and was told the sofa has not left the factory yet and would not be leaving the factory until December 8th. I asked at what factory and they said they didnt know but assured me it was being made in America. The lady stated that again and I found it odd since I didnt assume otherwise. That got me thinking, if they dont know what factory it is being manufactured at but they know it will leave that facility on December 8th, something doesnt add up. When I got off the phone, I was highly disappointed and curious enough to do a little research. I found this, https://theknowledgeburrow.com/is-lazyboy-made-in-china/YES, *****!I am now curious enough to see if they breached their own contract, whether it be written or verbal, I dont know. I want my sofa, I want to have trust and confidence in this company, but sadly, I do not.Review from Lori

I purchased a leather recliner from lazy boy in August of 2020. It was delivered at the end of November 2020. Within a few months the leather began to wear off in numerous places. I returned to the store and showed them photos of the recliner. They said that absoutely should not be happening and they gave me the number of their warranty department (comfort care)After not being able to get a response from the warranty **** I went back to the store a second time and the sales man said he would contact them for me to try to get them to respond.I went back to the store for a third time to try to get assistance with this. The sales girl said she would contact comfort care for me. She also told me at that time that they had to send a store leather recliner back because of the same issues I was having excess wear (with only instore use). She also said sometimes they get a batch of bad leather. After numerous attempts and months to contact the warranty **** and sending photos online I was told they would not honor the warrenty because I was causing the damage to the leather myself by not using distilled water and that I was using soap to clean it. This is not true, and I asked them to review my phone calls for accuracy. This wasn't done so I assume my calls were not recorded. I asked that they send a technichian out to see the chair which they declined to do.I should mention at the time we purchased our leather lazy boy recliner (fall 2020) we also purchased a leather sectional from ***************** This sectional has three leather recliners in it. This sectional gets the same use and care as our Lazy boy recliner yet shows none of the wear of the lazy boy recliner. We have purchased Lazy boy furniture for the last 15 years and have always been happy with the quality and comfort. Our last Lazy boy leather recliner lasted 10 years before showing any of the wear that our new recliner has shown in only a few months. My husband has a bad back and because of this we felt the extra cost for the Lazy boy recliners quality and comfort was worth it.I assumed a company as reputable and Lazy boy would stand behind their products. I am now having to problem solve what to do to get assistance with this new recliner that looks 10 years old.Review from Er M

The service at this store is wonderful, and the style of the furniture has improved. However, the value and quality of the furniture are poor. We ordered two tufted couches and two leather recliners. Our recliners came with damage from the plastic wrapping, and there were other defects as if the chairs had been exposed to moisture. The chairs literally have areas where the fabric is stapled! I have never had staples on furniture before and would least expect it from chairs that cost over $2,000 each. Also, the chairs have sections that are cardboard pieces covered with leather, and the adjustable buttons are outside the chair and difficult to reach. We dislike the flip feature of the footrest - so annoying! The tufted couches are very comfortable, but they came with buttons that are not tightly or correctly fitted with major gaps. The company acknowledged the defects and sent out a ********** pictures and one follow-up phone call, the company agreed that parts needed to be replaced. They left a message. When I called back, I never got a hold of anyone. There was no further follow-through, and we are very nervous to have part of our couches replaced. That could cause more damage. Overall, we will not recommend the furniture from this company, and we will never buy from it again.Review from Daniel A

My wife and I went to purchase new furniture at the end of January, ***** ******* helped us and was initially great. We ordered a recliner, love seat and couch. we paid our direct deposit and was told that our recliner would come first 2 weeks later and our love seat and couch would not come until Summer sometime. This is where the issues begin, ***** basically has ghosted us. We have not spoken with her since we bought the furniture. The recliner which was supposed to come two weeks later did not show up until 4 weeks, never got a call from ***** at all or any update into what was going on. I actually had to call and find out on my own the recliner was ready for delivery. That was the first issue. The second issue, has to do with our loveseat and couch. Again, never have heard from ***** ******* at all and have been having to call to check on status. I was recently offered a job in ******** and we have to move by mid-July. After multiple calls with ********, at first we were told we could not cancel the order even though it was not in production nor can they ship it to another store in ********. The date that I was given was beginning of August. Called again and spoke to another staff member, and was now told that we could cancel but they would keep our deposit? It is a lot of money! So I am hearing different things now from two different staff members. Our items are not even in production, why can't I cancel and just get refunded? Also, why has there been no communication from *****? I already complained about ***** and still no communication. I do not understand why we cannot cancel or have it shipped to a different store in ********! It makes no sense!"
