Complaint: purchased tires online that company refered me to Valley tire. To install two tires and while doing so gouged and scratched one of the rims. Ordered two new tires from ************* on 7/23/2012. Then they send them to a location thats closest to me. 7/24 take my vehicle to Valley tire and they install tires while doing so they gouged and scratched one of the rims. While trying to rush on i wanted to look at the new tires. The reason wanting tires was for resale of vehicle. When i complained a manager named *** had me follow him to a wheel repair shop they said they can do the repair. So a week goes bye and i have to call because nobodys calling me. Well now he tells me he's ordering me a new wheel. I would have been satisfied with repair. Three weeks and *** calls me and tells me to come down to install new wheel. They put it on i go to wash car and notice the wheel is different and when on freeway the steering wheel shimmys. I called Valley tire numerous times and they will tell me ***'s not there and i would drive over and he's there. They just keep giving me the run around. Ive been persistent, and all i want is for them to send my original rim to repair shop and then swap the rim they put on. I called wheel manuf. they told me the wheels mold was changed a couple years ago so its not Valley tires fault they tried to make it right but fell a little short. So now i call and no response and can't sell vehicle with two different wheels and shimming on the freeway. And i payed Valley tire $50.00 to install the tires. So i was wondering if BBB could help me. Would really appreciate it

Desired Settlement: Just to send the original wheel they took off my vehicle to repair shop and when done exchange and mount and balance tire.

Business Response: Consumer's Final Response
I would like to say I appreciate every thing the BBB has done thus far on my complaint against Valley tire. But would like to drop the complaint because they called me in today Monday 20th and repaired my wheel and switched them back. Thanks for letting me vent. And your influence on the matter.

Additional Notes

Complaint: Purchased 2 tires at Valley Tires and Wheels and the tire fel off my car on the way to church On Wednesday May 9th, I purchased two used tires and had then put on my car. On May 13th Mother,s Day, my grandson and I was on the way to church about a mile from my residence the wheel on the passenger side began to wabble and instantly it fell off my car, the tire jumped the curb and roll in a parking lot about 20 feet. I got my car towed to the busoness but it was closed so I had it towed to my residence. Monday morning the 14 of May I got the car towed to Valley Tire and Wheels. On the way there the tow truck driver stated that he had towed another car that did the exact same thing from the exact same shop before. Before the tow truck got there I went to the tire shop and explained what happened and the man who had worked on my car remembered me and told me to bring it in. The head man, who wasn't even there when the tires was put on came and was giving me a few excuses but eventually started fixing my car. When the tire flew off it also it also did visible damage to my rotor, fender and the inside of the rims I had on the car Which I went bck to the shop after work they again tried to rush my car to me as to where they only had to replaced the studs and had not done any other repairs. I refused to take my car from the shop because I felt my car was not safe to occupy. While I was at the shop I did a brief inspection of my car and found that the screw that was taken off the drivers side tire had not even been put back on. In order for the tow truck driver to get the get the car on the truck he had to take a lug off my bacy to put on the spare donut to get the car at a level to be able to be put on the tow truck. They had not even put those were still on the floor along with the center piece of the rim on the back passenger tire. So they still was giving me my car to me in an unsafe condition. So I refused to take my car and will continue to due so until I feel my car is in a safe condition to get checked out properly.

Desired Settlement: I would like my car repaired so that it is safe to drive and I would like to be compensated for the lost work time and emotional stress. I,m afraid that it won,t bebrepaired correctly.

Business Response: Business' Initial Response
10:15- Company called to state-She originally came to us to get air in her tires at almost closing and decided that since the tires weren't holding air to get 2 new ones installed. She came back a week and a half later with her car on a tow truck. The vehicle had lost a wheel supposedly. She had several broken front end items such as struts, arm bars, etc... A lot of work was needed. None of these things were wrong with the vehicle when she bought the tires, or we would have brought it to her attention. Since then I have replaced her front fender, rotar, ball joints all for FREE. I am not responsible for a dime more of work. Every time she or one of her family members show up to my shop they are loud and disruptive, and threaten me and business.

Consumer's Final Response
I have estamates and paperwork of work that still needs to be done in order for my car to run properly.
