Additional Notes

Complaint: I left car to be repaired on Monday August 6th. Three days later he called and said nothing was wrong with it. They didn't even do a diagnostic. AAA had replaced my battery on a service call 8/3/12 because my car wouldn't start. It would not turn over even with the new battery. The AAA service person said he felt I needed a new starter. I looked online and saw Ozmotive and made an appt for 8/6/12 to get my car repaired. Three days later they called and said that nothing was wrong with my car. On the phone his mechanic said it started every time if he jiggled the key. I asked him if he had done a diagnostic and he said no. Oz also told me if I needed to call AAA again to call him instead. The next day when it wouldn't start again I called him and he said if I could get it to him he'd look at it again. Why someone wouldn't do a diagnostic to see whats wrong I wouldn't know. I did ask for all the old parts to be returned to me with his completion of repairs. He made none.

Desired Settlement: I would've liked my car repaired. I now have no way to get to work in Folsom. My car sat for 3 days while absolutely nothing was done to it. I would like a diagnostic and my car repaired. Since leaving it with him, the one time it did start I seem to have an alignment problem now that I didn't have before. I am afraid to leave it with him.

Business Response: Business' Initial Response
Customer Came in Complaining of Her 2001 Honda Civic Having Trouble Starting on August 6th 2012. Mrs ****** Explained That A AAA Tow Truck Driver Told Her it Was Most Likely A Starter. I Told Her That I Would Rather Try and Diagnose Her Starting Issue Rather Than Just Replacing Her Starter. She Agreed To Have us Try and Diagnose The Starting Issue. We Kept The Vehicle For 3 Days. Over The Three Days We Had The Car, It Started Every Turn. It Never Once Hesitated in Starting. I Called Mrs ****** and Explained That I Was Unable to Duplicate The No Start Condition. I also Explained That We Were Not Going to Charge Her For The Diagnosis Due To The Fact The Vehicle Started Every Time. Mrs ****** Came in On August 9th 2012 to Pick Up The Vehicle. Mrs ****** Was Upset That Day and Demanded Her Keys Which We Provided immediately To Her. She Then Left. She Returned August 11th 2012 Complaining of Her Tire Pressures Being Low, We Proceeded To Check and Set Her Tire Pressures at No Charge. This Was The Last Time We Saw Mrs. ******

Consumer's Final Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I wasn't advised until the day I picked it up that no repairs had been made. When the car was returned to me it had the same issue as when I left it to be repaired. I went back to ask him why he hadn't repaired my car. Again he said nothing was wrong with it. I wouldn't take my car to him again for any reason. He wasted my time and did not repair my car. He had three days to diagnose the problem and did not do so.
