Complaint: Supposed repairs caused $5000+ damage in vehicle which they are not agreeing to fix/pay for Days before purchase, a check engine light came on for the dealer. They supposedly did a complete inspection, repaired the issue, and ran it through the regeneration process. Less than two months later, the check engine light came on again with the same problem. According to the dealer/repair shop we took it to, the entire exhaust system is clogged and must be replaced, they are stating it is because the first dealer did not do the repair like they should have, and when they ran the regeneration process without fixing the problem it caused the system to become clogged and damaged. Susanville auto center is not trying to work with us, not returning calls timely, and have n

Desired Settlement: We want the necessary repairs paid for in full by the at fault dealer along with back pay for the days we were without a vehicle due to them dragging their feet. This is our only vehicle and only method of transportation.

The customer fail to mention in their complaint that all of the information that they were receiving in regards to Susanville Ford refusing to help them was from a third party dealer and inaccurate. Unfortunately the customer went to the BBB before we even had time to gather the facts. I spoke with the customer on Saturday 7/28 and resolved the matter the same day. Consumer's Final Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) It took 3 days and going to the top manager in Corning before this was resolved. We were told flat out that the dealer was not going to help us prior to that. The dealer is failing to mention that this was an issue they knew about with the vehicle prior to us buying it which they didn't fix correctly. We still have not received an invoice showing they have made all the necessary repairs. And they returned our vehicle dirty, with grease marks and handprints on the drivers side and someone's trash from lunch in the floor. And it took them over a week to fix the vehicle and get it back to us.

BBB's Final Determination: Consumer accepted resolution offered by the business.
