Complaint: Hi There,My name is ****** and iam an owner of a used automobile independent dealership. recently we have retailed a 2002 Lincoln Ls and the car broke down after the sale. to give a good customer service to our client, we had him to check in the car under our name to the service department at sonora ford. we took full responsibility of the repair to keep our client happy. this is while i have spoken to the service manager Terry at Sonora ford and made all the arrangement with him. comes around after two weeks of keeping the car there, and making my customer unhappy and coming up with extra extra expense and excuses, at the end they are telling me that i as a corporation who is holding the sellers permit, have to pay this huge fee and retail price and also they are charging me sales tax. we are a corporation. as far as i know in california, when someone or a corporation holds a sellers permit, is not entitled to pay sales tax. this is while they also had me to file my california resale permit and certificate to get the eligible discount with the parts department at sonora ford. the gentleman who is giving me all these hard time is named Terry. iam not happy with the service they are providing at this point and they want me to pay almost up to 1500.00 dollars worth of damage. i don't understand why i should pay retail and sales tax if i am as the dealership of selling that vehicle. all the repair is on me, so i should be eligible for all the benefit of it.

Since this transaction is not for resale taxes were charged. Zoom Motors was given a discount on the parts that were installed. According to the California State Board of Equalization the transaction did require to be taxed.

Complaint: I bought a car from the ford dealer, a day later I had the tires checked and multiple shops and the california highway patrol told me the tires have an illegal amout of tread. I went back to the seller and the manager told me that he refuses to replace the tires even though the car is unsafe. Product_Or_Service: 1999 oldsmobile alero Account_Number: *****

The vehicle which was purchased 9/3/XXXX XXXX Oldmobile Alero with 173,517 miles was sold AS-IS as Equipped with no warranty implied or expressed. 2 days after the sale of said vehicle Sonora Ford re-adjusted the selling price $1500.00 to accommodate client. A week later client called and said her tires were illeagle and wanted Sonora Ford to replace tires. Ca law states that: Tread depth requirements for pneumatic tires are soecified in section XXXXX, including the requirement that each vehicle sold with pneumatic tires shall have tire tread depth of at least 1/32nd of an inch tread deep in any two adjacent grooves at any location of the tire. Sonora Ford inspection report had tire tread depth at 4/32 at time of inspection. Sonora Ford offered to client to have tires installed at our cost through our local tire company and client refused. At this time Sonora Ford has done all they can to accommodate client and unfortunately client is not satisfied. Thank you for letting Sonora Ford reply. Respectfully, ****** ******** General Manager
