Complaint: This is a complaint I have against Bowman & Associates, Inc. The Attorney I'm having a problem with is ***** ** ******* Esq. State Bar number is ******. I have been trying to get my refund from that office since August of 2013. I gave my Sears MC to pay for future cost for trying to get visitation rights with my great-grand kids I had not seen for 7 months. I got some of the money back but not all.

Desired Settlement: I'm pleading with you, please try to resolve this. It makes me sick to see people like this to try and take advantage of an already bad situation.

Business Response: Thank you for sending this to my attention.

Please be advised that this client did in fact receive 100% of her money back as a refund.  It was within two separate payments that she did receive.
Additionally, the day after receiving this I contacted the client via email asking her to call me to discuss and she never did.
Furthermore, I contacted the client via phone and informed her who I was and that I was calling to resolve an issue she has with us and our billing.  Her exact words were, "Shut up and do not ever call this number again or else."
I had contacted her once more leaving a voicemail asking her to call back, and she never has.
I have not pursued it any further as I felt threatened and am afraid as to what she may do if I keep calling her.
Please let me know what else we can do.
Please rest assured though that this person DID in fact receive 100% of their funds back.

Consumer Response: After I wrote to you and the CA Stat Bar Assn. I did finally get a third check to complete the payment the office of Bowman & Associates owed me. However they seem to have a problem of lying. I did not threaten anyone. I did tell the man who called me  not to call my number again. I had had enough of the firm and will never do business with them again. He said he wanted to discuss the matter and I had so much trouble with the atty. lying about what he did not do. I was given  the refund after a representative from ARAG called to get added information from me. I did not get any Emails. I did say do not call me anymore Did not say shut up or else
