Complaint: On 11/10/2014 my wife called Valley Oaks Appliance and had them come out to look at our******** Refrigerator. When **** ** the technician pull the refrigerator out he bump the granite countertop and left a dent in the door, After he diagnosed the refrigerator he said to her that it was shot leaking fluid and that seals were bad and would cost over $1,100.00 to repair it or replace it. She responded can you just plug it in and see if its works. Wow its working she said, **** replied is not going to last long maybe an hour or so. He was more interested in selling her a new refrigerator and said he would give her half off the service call if she purchase a new one at there showroom.When I came home from work I ask how did it go with the refrigerator, she said its working. Then she told me the everything that went on that day, I responded wow he dented the door, I call Valley Oaks Appliance and ask for the service manager *** and was ask to leave a massage and phone # for him to get back to me. After playing phone tag numerous times we finally spoke to each other.Take in mind Its now been three weeks later and the refrigerator is still working with no problems at all. Speaking with him a second time he said that he would locate a door and make it right fixing the door. He could not explain the mis diagnose of the refrigerator. Agin saying I will get back to you, well a month or two goes by and what do know its still working. Being self employed with very little time to call or go to the store to speak to the service manager ***, I took time out of schedule to meet with *** in person, gave him my receipt and said did you forget about me, he did not know what say, then responded the refrigerator parts are know longer available but I do have parts in his bone yard. We took a look at it and agreed that if he could clean it up inside and out I would take a look at it and maybe except it in a replacement part. Its now been two weeks going on three and still no response.

Desired Settlement: All moneys refunded on service call and a new door as a replacement and no longer willing to except bone yard parts.

Business Response: We have made several attempts to contact the customer.  We do want to resolve the matter with the customer.  The door is no longer available, but we do have two options for him.  We did call today and left a message to have customer give us a call.  We have emailed this evening the two options.

Consumer Response:  
Consumer states that the business has contacted them directly and resolved the issue to their satisfaction. Consumer believes business went above and beyond in making things riight by providing a replacement refrigerator.
