Complaint: General Climate System was called out to repair a refrigerator on 4-8-14. They claimed the compressor was bad. The cost of repair was $525.00. The compressor was fixed that day and a check for the cost was paid to them. The compressor had a 1 year warranty. On 6-2-14 the refrigerator stopped working. At 8am General Climate System was called to come look at the refrigerator. They showed up to our facility at 4pm that day. They proceeded to put Freon in the fridge. It did not work. We were told that they would return the next day to complete the repair due to the time of day. The next day they never came. We tried to contact them but had no success. Because this is a care home the refrigerator had to be fixed immediately. We were forced to call another company. This company came out and gave us an estimate for the work that needed to be done. They claimed that our compressor was broken. We explained to them that it was a new compressor. They were shocked! After further examination of the compressor by them it was reported to us that the previous repair man( Climate Control Systems) installed a part called a booster which in turn caused the compressor to go out. It also cause the tubing in the back of the refrigerator to become clogged. This all needed to be replaced. Our total cost of repair that day was $1145.00. Around 7pm that same evening Climate Control System came knocking on our door with more Freon. We explained to them what had happened due to them not getting back to us and also explained that because we are a care home and they could not come in at that hour of the day. Plus, the work was already done. I called them the next day to ask for a refund but were told by them that wouldn't be possible. There work caused us more problems, and they were very unprofessional. We believe we are owed our money. Since then we have sent them a letter asking for our refund but have gotten no response.

Desired Settlement: $525.00 the cost of Climate Control Systems repairs
