Complaint: My father-in-law passed away suddenly and my husband and I called his homeowners insurance agent, *** ******, at Placer Insurance in Roseville to ask questions about his policy coverage after death. We called and left messages three days in a row with no return calls even after leaving message that the policy holder passed away. It was not until I called The home office of Allied Insurance in Iowa that we got a return call from Placer Insurance though it still was not the agent, *** ******. Her refusal to return our calls regarding the policy holders death is DESPICABLE.
Desired Settlement: I have filed a Department of Insurance complaint asking for *** ******'s agent license to be either suspended or revoked. The agency that employs *** ****** should also be held accountible for her bad service regarding her refusal to return calls when there has been a death of a policy holder.
Placer Insurance Agency is responding to a complaint filed on 1/20/2014 assigned case ID ******* with the Better Business Bureau. We take every complaint very seriously and when the findings are valid we make the necessary corrective action to prevent any future incident.
