Complaint: Product was defective. Contacted company. They blamed it on me assembling it wrong. Reassembled many times. Still have issue. Company won't fix it. About two months ago I bought a TV stand from Home Styles. When it came in the mail, I assembled it per the instructions. One of the two doors wouldn't shut. I tried to troubleshoot, but couldn't figure out the problem. I contacted the company and they asked for pictures of the product. After viewing the pictures of the item, they said that it was an assembly issue. I took it apart and reassembled it. I explained in very great detail what was going on. The still said it was my fault. So I took it apart a couple more times and reassembled it. I was still having the same exact problem and still couldn't figure out the issue. I contacted the company again and they still said it was my fault (that I was assembling it incorrectly). I asked them to send a new product, and they refused. After a lot of emails, I finally convinced the company that I needed replacement parts. They finally told me they would sent me the parts (plural). I first asked them to send me the side of the cabinet. Upon installing this new side, the cabinet squared up much better, but the door still wouldn't shut. I measured the door and found out that it was slightly too big (about 1/8 of an inch). I contacted the company again and told them that the side helped, but that I needed one more part and the cabinet would be fixed. I asked them for a new door. They responded and said that they couldn't send me any more parts. They didn't offer any explanation as to why. I told them that it was their responsibility to make sure their product was correct. I requested to talk to a manager. I never received a response from them. That is when I decided to contact the BBB. All this conversation took place via email. The company was fairly nice, but they just kept blowing me off and blaming everything on me. They don't have any ownership of their product.

Desired Settlement: I don't want a whole new cabinet, I just want the last piece sent to me (the door) so that I can have a functioning piece of furniture.

My name is ****** ****** and I am in charge of any problem at Home Styles Furniture in Stockton Ca. I have never spoken to ****** ******, he explained he was communicating with someone through email but neither I or any of the employees at Home Styles Furniture has had any communications with Mr. ******. Also we do not ship our merchandise, it is either picked up at **** ******** Rd Stockton Ca XXXXX or it is delivered by our delivery crew. He also said that he had already recieved a door but we have never sent any parts to anyone. I believe that ****** ****** is mistaking Home Styles Furniture Store in Stockton Ca. for another Home Styles Furniture at another city or state.
