Complaint: Priority 1 electric sent someone over 2 guys in a big hurry with no licence proof and no proof of identity who they were.The big guy came in with no name stated they will be back to my home to do the job Thursday. I asked them for the price and they said they will contact me the next day. No call no price the next day. I contacted the office no call back with the price. Thursday no show no call on this date 1-16-14. I left several messages a rude lady name *** *** ****** stated so they were out of town. So we are still going to charge you I asked for their license and *** *** ******. Told Me no....I am filling a complaint called several times and she keeps hanging up on me.Priority 1 electric *** *** ****** said she will charge me any way for no job done. I have proof from *** *** ****** she sent me a invoice without the business license on it. She keepshanging up on me I contacted the office and left several messages for the owner. She stated he doesn't want to talk to me. Very bad business..

Desired Settlement: I would like for her to stop sending me nasty letters and to not charge me for a job not done.Which was $47.50.

Business Response:

Please see the attached documents. We have tried many times to correspond with Ms. ******* and each time we speak to her, she has a different story. I noticed her complaint to you states nothing about the complaints she was calling us about other than not wanting to pay her bill.
 
she also registered a complaint with California State License Board and the Board told her that we did nothing wrong therefore her complaint had been dismissed. I am sure that is why she contacted the BBB so she can possible get out of paying her bill.
 
We will NOT void her bill. She called us for an estimate. (See attached email appointment confirmation confirming her fee would be $47.50 (Doc. #1). We sent an electrician to her home 1-14-14 to look at her problem. Our electrician arrived at her home at 4:11 PM and completed viewing her problem areas at 4:25 PM -see GPS records )Doc #2) showing our truck was at her home on t 1-14-14. She was asking for an estimate to install a ceiling fan and to have an outlet installed. (See work order- doc #3) It only takes a few minutes to look at the areas of install. Once our electrician is done with his evaluation he usually gives a written estimate to the customer or returns to the office to work the estimate. Once an estimate has been created,it is emailed and regular mailed to the customer. Her estimate was emailed the next day and regular mailed along with her invoice. Se attached dated invoice with estimate. (Doc #4).
 
In addition, after speaking with my electrician (*****) I had asked why he did not collect on the day of the estimate. He stated that Ms. ******* was in a hurry and had to leave so ***** told her we would get back to her with the pricing. She left before he could collect or get a signature from her.
 
The express how this person is making stuff up, please look at my emails sen t to her. Please look at our invoice and look at our work order. Each item has our office address info and our license number is at the bottom of each of my emails and on our work orders. I also provided her with the phone numbers to BBB and CSLB. Her statement of me not giving her our license number does not make any sense, just another lie. I would NEVER refuse to give this information out to anyone.  Furthermore, why would I say something like that when we have it posted on most all of our paperwork? That just does not make sense at all and this is the first I have heard of the complaint. She neglected to report that fact to CSLB.
 
She is following her same pattern, something new to complain about to get out of paying her bill.
 
Please see other attached docs with notes recorded after having conversations with Ms. *******.
 
Conclusion:
 
Ms. ******* called us out to do an estimate 1-14-14 for $47.50.
 
Estimate was completed 1-14-14 and estimate was regular mailed and emailed the following day.
 
On the day of the estimate, Ms. ******* left before our electrician could collect or get a signature.
 
Ms. ******* was provided with our license number on several documents-- it is also posted in the phone book, our website and a search can be done online at California State license Board.
 
Ms. ******* NEVER asked for our license number over the phone.
 
Ms. ******* did not call us the next day nor did she schedule an appointment for Thursday. If she actually had an appointment with us on that Thursday, why didn't she call us on 1-17-14 to find out why we weren't there? Her first calls to us was February 6,2014. See email dated 2-7-14 responding to her original (and FIRST) complaint.
 
Ms. ******* states in her complaint to BBB that she would like for us to stop billing her for a job not done. Job was done-- This bill was a travel & diagnostic fee therefore she does owe this bill and her complaint is no justifiable.
 

BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
