BBB Letter Grade Scale
Star Rating scale
BBB Customer Review Rating plus BBB Rating is not a guarantee of a business' reliability or performance, and BBB recommends that consumers consider a business' BBB Rating and Customer Review Rating in addition to all other available information about the business. If the BBB Rating is NR then only Customer Reviews are used for the Star Rating.

Complaint: We took my daughters Suzuki Grand Vitara in for repairs needed to the engine. We were told that after what the insurance (warranty)would cover we would be responsible for up to $1000 in additional labor and cost. I authorized the amount of $1000 over what the insurance(warranty) company would cover. When the repairs were finished and we went to pick up the car the amount owed was $1548.41. I said I only authorized $1000 and their response was "we forgot to put some items in the estimate." I asked why wasn't I notified of the amount change and the gentleman told me "I don't know, it must have fallen through the cracks." I only allowed them to charge $1000 to my credit card since that is what I authorized. After I left they then made my daughter sign something saying she owed the additional $548.41 that was not authorized or they would not release the car.I just recently was told that a repair shop legally has to inform the client if there will be an additional amount and have it preauthorized prior to completion. This was not done and I feel the shop should take the loss for the additional amount. Also when we got it back the blower for the air/heater kept shorting out. After taking it back several times they kept telling us/her that they are not responsible because they didn't work on that. A different repair shop we took the car to said it had shorted out due to something being hooked up improperly. I feel they should also be responsible for purchasing a new blower motor for this vehicle and we will take it somewhere else and have it installed. Further they dented the front fenders with a lightbar that attaches on the fenders over the engine compartment.
Desired Settlement: The $548.41 needs to be taken off the balance owed to make it a zero balance. The blower motor needs to be purchased by Auburn Auto Doctors to replace the one which was shorted out due to improper connection. We will have another shop do the installation. We would also like to take the Grand Vitara to a body shop to get the front fenders repaired which were also damaged by this shop. Which Auburn Auto Doctors should take care of the bill.
To whomever it may concern,
BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
