Additional Notes

Complaint: Vehicle Wraps Inc wraped my 2011 Nissan Armada matte black in mid to late Nov. There work was horrible and they caused significant damage. I took my 2011 Armada to ****** and his team at VWI and there work was not only horrible but they did thousands of dollars worth of damage to my truck. I gave ****** 3 chances to fix my wrap and each time it was never done properly, I had bubbles, creases, lines, discoloration and lifting of the wrap each time. Not only was my wrap never done correctly he cut my trucks paint, weather stripping around each window, doors and hood they cut my interior, head light roof rack and plastic grill with the razer blade they used to cut the vinyl. He also peeled my paint off the last time he tryed to fix it.

Desired Settlement: We asked VWI to remove the wrap immediately with a full refund and to cover the cost of all damage, at first VWI agreed as he admitted in writing to all damage. VWI has now changed there mind and refuses to do anything. VWI now asks that we take this issue to his insurance because he has insufficient funds to cover the significant damage done. We have filed a a claim with his insurance to cover the cost of a new paint job and all the replacement parts to put my vehicle in the same order that it was prior to his work. VWI is incompetent and future customers have the right to know.

Business Response: Business' Initial Response
First, we here at Vehicle Wraps, Inc. take great pride in the relationships we hold with our clients. We are sorry for any misunderstandings this client had about her wrap. The client's husband was the one who placed the order with us to have his wife vehicle wrapped in 3M matte black vinyl; He was given two options on the kind of color change wrap. We have a complete color change wrap that involves 100% coverage of all seen painted parts that can be wrapped, such as door jams, taking off the headlights, bumpers and other parts that can be removed which would allow us to wrap fully. Or the option where we wrap only the main painted parts of the vehicle and does not include door jams, or taking off the headlights, bumpers and other parts that can be removed which would allow us to wrap fully. He went with the second option that wrapped only the main parts due to his budget. We took in the vehicle and prep it like normal for a color change wrap. When finished we call to have the vehicle picked up. The client was not 100% happy due to some of the paint still showing around the side moldings. I explained to her that would be more of complete color change wrap, rather than the type that her husband had order for her, I explain the difference with her, and she told me that her husband never told her that, so seeing how upset she was about it, I told her that we would fix it for free. We took the vehicle back in and fixed that area just like we told her we would. She came and picked up her vehicle and was very happy. After about a week and some good rain that we had, she called me and said that she had issues with a few spots on the wrap and wanted me to look at them. I got her right in here and was shocked to see a few areas on the front fenders where the vinyl and its adhesive seem to be separating. She did also point out a small cut in her weather stripping. I told her that we would 100% take care of that for her, and that I am sorry for that to have happen. We both agree on fixing and replacing both front fenders, one section of the top above the driver's side window, and the back which all had very small parts of the adhesive separating from the vinyl. There was also one spot on the pass side fender that looked a little discolored. Not sure if that was from us or un proper cleaning, but we agree to replace that part as well. After looking over the vehicle more we did fine out that one of our installers did accidentally make three cuts on her vehicle. We have dealt with the installer in-house and we immediately got quotes for the damage and told her we would take care of these cuts. The damage consisted of small cuts: one on a head light, one in weather stripping, and an x-shaped cut on a hatch bracket. Well in the removal of the back panel some paint came off; although this is not common, it can happen if the paint is bad or not cured right, or if the vehicle has been in accident, and not fixed right. We immediately told the client. We again made arrangements to fix this, although it is not the fault of our shop nor is hers. We fixed all of the panels to her specifications and to easy her mind I even sign an agreement saying we would fix any damages due to an installer's knife cutting into the paint. She left very happy again. The very next day I got a text asking why we cut her speaker wires. I was very shocked at being accused of such thing. I told her that I am sorry but there is no reason we do such thing and that the speaker was not in our way of wrapping your vehicle. She claimed that one of the installers could have been mad at her. I told her that, that is not how we are or act. And that the only people that touch the vehicle was me and my lead installer, and no one else seeing how the other installer had accidentally cut on the vehicle. Several days later her husband texted me over some pictures of other damage done on the vehicle, claiming that we broke the back panel on the rear, that we cut there roof rack, that we cut the whole fender flare, Which was re wrapped and check up close by her when she pick up the vehicle again, and did several other things inside the vehicle, and that they wanted the wrap removed and her money back. We agreed to look at the vehicle and do such. Upon closer inspection, we realized we did not do any of this damage, I was very shock that we were being accused of these damages that were not from us, so we called the insurance company for a second opinion as we felt this was the professional thing to do. They took down both of our stories and went out and check out the vehicle and found no such claimed damages could be or were cause by us. Again we work **** trying and doing the right thing. We were very shocked that we were being accused of doing damage to their vehicle that was clearing not done by us, and that has been there for a while. As for the damages that were cause by one of our installers, the parts have been order and when they get to Nissan we will contact the client and have Nissan install and replace the parts. The Total for all Parts with install came out to $247.95 we again apologize; we feel we went over and beyond and are proud of this wrap, and held up to fixing any issues that came up. It wasn't until we got accuse of damages that were done to the vehicle that were not and could not be cause by us that we cannot help out anymore with this.

Consumer's Final Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) BBB obviously cannot help in anyway but give ****** a platform to continue not take responsibility for his horrible work, I asked for the wrap to be taken off with a full refund and he refused if he had agreed to remove the wrap we obviously would not be where we are now. This matter has been submitted to the court and I will see ****** there.

Business' Final Response
We had no problem removing the wrap and giving Money back, like stated. It wasn't till we got accused of these damages that were not from us, so we called the insurance company for a second opinion as we felt this was the professional thing to do. They took down both of our stories and went out and check out the vehicle and found no such claimed damages could be or were cause by us. Again we work **** trying and doing the right thing. We were very shocked that we were being accused of doing damage to their vehicle that was clearing not done by us, and that has been there for a while. As for the damages that were cause by one of our installers, the parts have been order. And were told by you that you didn't want them.. Again we have no problem replacing the parts. We have said that from day one, and that we are sorry that one of our installers would do that and we have taken care of that matter as of the installer.. Thanks ******
