Complaint: someone from their office called me and harrased me for stating that I would be calling another company and hanging up the phone. I had asked for a quote to repair my microwave via email. The person who was responding had little knowledge of the microwave and when I recieved an esitmated quote it was for $150 to $200. I assumed that there must have been some miss communication durring the email correispondance so I call the number given on the email. I was transfered to a man who was extreamly rude from the beginning, I asked him why my quote was $200 to simply repair a door latch that had broken when the part online was $17. He said it could be two parts which on the internet totals $30 and I said I understood the mark up but not to $200. He then was even more rude vasically telling me that most people dont know whats wrong and so they quoted me worse case senerio, which still didnt make sense, at that point he was being so rude I said that I would be calling another repair company and hung up the phone. He procceeded to call me back, yelling telling me I was rude for hanging up the phone, I said again that I would be calling another repair company and he said durring his rant don't your F****** ever call this company again and hung up the phone.

Desired Settlement: I would like an appology letter from the owner of this company. I can't belive that anyone would want potential customers treated this way, much less have these types of people in our homes. Especially in the day of social media that could highly infulance thier buisness.

Business Response: Business' Initial Response
this customer found us online and we started emailing in regards to an estimate for her appliance. We do not do quotes over the phone or email because we never know what it will truly cost until we properly diagnose any machine. We proceeded to give her a "worst case scenario" and she was not listening. We then told her she will have to find a different company to do the work and she was not happy. I am attaching an apology letter that I am sending out to her today.

BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved

Complaint: I have a warranty on my washer ans dryer. They sent out a tech. to check it out. He came out to check it out and said it was draining in the back and said they would come back out to fix it. When they came back out he wanted to know why I did not clean up the water in the back (they never told me to, he said that it was sewage water). He told me to put clothes in and it was working (it was not working). I called their office to tell them it was not working and was told that the tech said he was unable to fix it because of the sewage water. He did check out the washer but did not fix it. If i would have been told about the build up in the back we would have had it fixed. He never told any one. He never said anything to anyone about the issue then used this excuse for not fixing my washer.

Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I think they have horrible customer service and the tech lied.

Business Response: Business' Initial Response
I am attaching pictures to prove that behind his washer and dryer was a build-up of feces. We were able to fix the dryer, but we told Willie Butler and his wife to please clean up the feces and have a plumber come out or we will not be able to work on the machines. They refused to clean-up the mess, so we did not go back to the property. As far as what they paid, per their contract with American Home Shield, they only paid a $60.00 fee for their copay. If they clean-up the feces, we are still happy to go back to the property and finish the work we were contracted to do on the initial visit.

Consumer's Final Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept their response, because it is untrue. First, American Home Shield sent out another company , after Appliance refused to send their technician back out. Also the receptionist at Appliance told me to get another Company to come out. I'm very happy we did, because they did an awesome repair and service. The so call feces Appliance said was build-up behind the washer, was only soap that had build-up from the over flow from the bad hose that had to be replaced. They didn't tell the truth about us cleaning up behind the washer, because when the technician told us about it we cleaned it up. I told Appliance this,the rep. said the wasn't sending the technician back out. (Willie Buther is she not he!).

BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the position of all parties, BBB determined that the business made a reasonable effort to address the complaint. However the consumer remains dissatisfied.
