Complaint: This Company dose not fallow threw, No work ethics, shady,unprofessional. They do not give straight answers,They are a help them selves. We have had problems from the first day With Comfort City, They got the down payment and then we did not see them for a long time. Work did not started as the paper work state. The crew that was assisted to do the work, did not showing up to complete the installation of heating and cooling unit. On more then a few occasions workers staying till late into the evening.There was an Improper installation of Unit, it sounded like a Jet plane was in my house and the house rattled as to come off its foundation, It took many visits to fix this problem, to no a-vale, My husband finally fixed the problem his self. My husband found the air intake lose. And the inspectors made Comfort City put more support to hold the unit on the roof, and added a few more support beams to stop the rattling of the unit. And they use my preexisting gas line that was for a fire place with out are permission, and are materials, with out are consent. Now we are paying out of pocket again for a new gas line. Also the owner Nathan, gave us lots of rebate papers from air ducking, to tax rebates, and a few others they were all fake, I showed him the letters from PG&E and H&R block tax preparers. Nathan took them and I never got them back and I didn't not get any of the rebates he promised. Witch added up to about 3000.00 $. The ac unit was damaged and needed repair from day one. I never received any paper work on what was fixed on the unit. Nathan has worked on the ac unit on more then a few occasions and and I don't get the paper work on it or even a work order of what was done. I have asked him for them still waiting for them. It took over 3 years for Comfort City to get a warranty manual to me. Its was given to me on July of 2012 and this was only after I bugged them because I had to pay out of pocket to repair the ac unit many times, It was strange that only after I got the warranty manual and the fan blade broke again that I was not charged a fee this time to fix the fan blade. My husband called Nathan out to the house and they discussed the problem of the broken fan blade. My husband dose construction work on building and suggested that the motor was out of balance, because this was the 2 time the fan blade was replaced, and Nathan had no reply to this statement. You ask me to show you paper work any dates but I have yet to get any from Comfort City. They are now billing me for 198.00$ they say because I kept the fan blade. The worker gave me the broken fan blade he said (they were going to throw it away) but he did want a picture of it to show his co workers. He had never seen a fan blade broke like this one before. He took a picture with his phone. He assured me that it was Ok for me to keep it, the young man even put it in the original box it came in for me, and then handed it to me. The fan blade broke in such a bad way that I thought my husband should see the damaged blade. The young man took his latter and left, he came knocking at my door again a few minutes later because he forgot a tool on the roof, he got it and left. Now Im got calls at home this summer of 2012 asking for the blade back, We were working out of state and tryied to call them but had lots of troble conecting with them, We came back into calif. on August 2012 and I had a few not so nicely worded calls on my answering maching fro Confort City, stating I would be billed for the blade, and When I did speack to the person at Comfort City she said I had to pay for the shipping of the blade, I told her sorry but I would not pay for their mistake and I would leave it out by the front door for them to pick it up at there time. She said NO! they would not send any of there worker out to pick it up, and why should it cost them to pick up the blade when I wanted it. I explain what happened and she do-sent care. I told her for Nathan to call me . I would stay in town to fix this problem I have yet to hear from them. I did send them a letter asking for a work order. nothing yet I'm wating!
Desired Settlement: For this Company to send me my work order for all the work done on my unit, for them to stop calling me and stop billing me for the fan blade. For them to leave us alone. I will not seek there services any longer.
