Replacement of windshield, verified inspection sticker would be transferred to new windshield. Picked up auto it had 1yr sticker and not 2 yr sticker
Friday 7/19 stopped by and got estimate, details, hours &asked about transfer of inspection sticker. Returned 7/20 order X-XXXXXX dropped off car verified info from Friday and husband also asked about inspection sticker yes they transfer stickers. We picked up auto noticed that afternoon sticker was 7/14 not 5/15. Verified my paperwork from inspection I did indeed have 2015 decal. Called ACME Monday am about decal. First response was did I ask for 2year sticker, response no I asked if it would be transferred to new windshield, next response was we only do 1year transfer as a convenience to customers.
I was only told sticker would be transferred. Customers should be told they are not transferred and only a year sticker is given. I want my 2 year sticker and customers to be told the truth.

Acme Glass and Mirror has offered a free state inspection with windshield replacement since we, received our inspection station license twenty nine (29) years ago. Of course until September 2012, the only inspection sticker available to the public was a one year. Since then the customer has had a choice of a one or two year. Acme Glass and Mirror continues to offer the one year at no charge with windshield replacement. The vast majority of our customers appreciate that service.
Ms. ********* stated she asks that her "sticker be transferred" to her new windshield, and we should have accommodated her to the best of our ability staying within the state laws, but due to lack of communication, misunderstanding, or whatever, it was not done, and for that, I apologize. In no way were we trying to deceive Ms. *********. There was nothing for Acme Glass and Mirror to gain by not doing as she ask, as a matter of fact if we had transferred the old sticker we would have saved the $10.00 for the new one year we placed on the new windshield.
I am looking at a copy of Ms. *********'s invoice for a windshield replacement in a 2006 Kia Rio. I see no notes informing the technicians to save her two year sticker, so it appears the fault lies with our CSR. I also notice that a 10% coupon was used for an additional savings of $17.89.
As I stated, we failed to offer the best customer service possible, so we will be more than happy to give Ms. ********* a new two year inspection sticker. Law requires the vehicle be at our location, so she may bring it to our office at her convenience.
