Took my 2002 infinity QX4 in to have wheel bearings fixed and resonator and asked to have spark plugs and wires replaced, the mechanic checked one spark plug and didn’t reinstall it back in properly and used a nut as a washer on the coil pack so therefor my vehicle started misfiring, when I took my vehicle to infinity dealer they put on print out that it is misfiring due it not being reinstalled properly, I went back to this business and spoke with their manager jake and he refused to fix what his mechanic messed up, I told him this should be made right and he still refused.. I told him that is very bad business to not make right with the customer what his mechanic screwed up on my vehicle, now I have to take my vehicle to another company to have their faulty work fixed properly, I do not recommend this business for repairs

This customer originally came in and requested to have her spark plugs changed in addition to some other repairs. We inspected one spark plug and advised her that the spark plug appeared relatively new and we would not recommend changing it at this time. We did this as a courtesy and did not want this customer to spend money unnecessarily on spark plug replacement if it was not needed. This vehicle is a coil on plug set up, so it has an ignition coil that sits on top of the spark plug. There is one coil and plug that is readily accessible to easily check a spark plug and this coil is on the drivers side of the engine. This is the one we would have inspected if we were doing a courtesy plug inspection. The coil that is installed with an other than factory bolt and a nut being used as a washer is on the passenger side of the engine and sits underneath the engine cowling. I had to get a flash light to look underneath the cowling to see this coil and the way it was secured in place. I told Karen that we did not touch this coil and there would have been no reason for us to touch this coil when there's another coil much more easily accessible to remove to inspect a spark plug. There would have been zero reason for us to remove a more difficult to get to ignition coil to inspect a spark plug. If a customer came up and asked if we could help them secure their coil or take a look at it for them, I would be glad to help them or take a look at it. But when I'm told we are responsible and better fix it, and I know we are not responsible, I will decline to work on that vehicle at all or assist this customer with any further repairs.
