            We signed a contract in Mar 2021 and were told construction on the pool would start in June and take 3 months. It didn't start until Aug, we were still told 3 months but we said that end of year (4 months) would be fine. As of May 2022 it is still not complete. I've been expressing concern and asking for it to be complete by end of May 2022 for 2 months now and the owner just confirmed that he doesn't have and can't pay for the heater/pump that he told us he had received in late 2021. At no point has the owner provided acceptable reasons for delay, and communication has been spotty and only when updates are requested. They would show up, get a check, do a little bit of work, and then disappear for weeks at a time with little to no communication unless prompted for an update. From the time we signed the contract in Mar 2021 through Feb 2022 we have paid a total of $55,015. At this point I've asked for a refund for the unfinished work if it can't be completed by May, and the owner has stopped responding.
