I set up an appointment for a consult with Florida Cuatom Marble in April and waited until late May to be seen by ********. Chose exactly the quartz I wanted after they sent out my chosen sample to my home and waited for the quote. No-one contacted my contractor or I. By late June, I'd made numerous calls which only went through to an answering service and my emails and messages weren't returned. In early July I went back to showroom and was kept at the door ( not permitted in without appointments but couldn't make appointment as no one answered requests) with a promise someone would be in touch. I received an email quote the next day from *****. She Worked backwards and forwards to make adjustments to the quote and the drawing for two weeks and then handed in the signed contract and 50% check. Next hurdle, they said it would be 3 weeks before they could template, then a further 3 to instal. We asked if they could reduce that to the 4 week period we'd been told when getting the quote (or less taking account of their delays). Next morning we had a call from ******** to say they wouldnt be able to fulfill our retail project because they have to focus on the building backlog over past 18 months. If this was the case, why did they waste 3 months of our time? Sitting with a remodeled kitchen and no countertops as the project continued to the original schedule? The saleswoman, ******** even had the audacity to ask why we had no countertops As if our contractor would alter his schedule for their protracted delays!!! Stay away from Florida Custom Marble who seem to excel only in stringing customers along and dodging any form of communication Including letting you across their threshold.
