I took several US coin books to get a price on them and to see if they would buy them. After they reviewed them they were not interested. One was a complete collection of Washington quarters from 1932 through 1964, valued in the $1200 according to examples on Ebay. Upon leaving I was presented a pile of the coin folders which went into the box brought them in. On reviewing the box the next day I noticed the Washington collection was not there. Part of this is my fault for not checking them while I was there. I called the next day and spoke with someone who handles the incoming phone calls. He stated the book was not there by looking at the counter. Never checked with the 3 or 4 others that looked at my collections. I left him my number and have never heard from them. No explanation, no help in checking else where or with the others that were there, I am willing to take a truth polygraph that the book was there and that they looked at it and that it did not leave the store with me or my wife who was with me. Theft or negligence of not checking with others who looked at it. A criminal complaint. is very convoluted and not my first or second choice to pursue.
