I have been a customer for 3 years + including their bi-annual service. Starting in December of 2023 one heat pump unit failed. this unit required them to make 5 different trips. It was a comedy of diagnostic work, installing capacitors, then fuses, then a fan motor, then an expansion valve etc. I spent over ******* dollars on this repair. I had to argue with them over the bill. They lost track that I had paid a 200 deposit in their final billing at my house. They threatened to remove the work that they had completed that day. Unbelievable !. I spoke with the owner of Arctic Breeze after paying the final bill. He did not believe that their performance was poor and that his ******** were excessive. I have canceled all my future dealings with his company and I would not recommend them. too much trouble.

Hi *****,We are sorry that one of three systems was having an issue. We found that there were multiple, un-related issues with that one unit in particular. It is only the second repair that you have had to pay for since the new systems (three in total) were install in 2020, which is pretty good considering the proximity of your home to the ocean.Of the 5 trips to your home, which can happen as there are some unrelated repairs here, you were not charged each time that we came out. And as we put on your quote, "Due to the nature of the quoted repair, it is not possible to know if any further issues are present with your system. This repair needs to be performed before any retesting and further diagnosis can be performed. The repair quote is only for the scope of work mentioned in the quote and does not include any further diagnostic testing. If any repairs are required, they will be quoted separately." , is because there is always the potential of further issues. And this, unfortunately, was the case for this system in particular. For these visits (since Dec 27th, 2023), you were charged under $1200 as I spoke with you over the phone.Again, as I explained over the phone to you, we have a new field service management software (starting 1/5/2024) and there was a confusion within that software concerning *********** deposit- like I had said to you over the phone, it was an honest mistake on our part. The only reason why there was an issue with potentially removing the parts installed is because you refused to pay after the technician had completed the service. If a customer refuses to pay, per the ***** we would have the right to remove parts installed on that visit. I hope that you will find an A/C company to your liking.

I texted this company because my heat pump was heating instead of cooling and they arrived quickly the same day and fixed my unit - I thought. They replaced the shuttle valve solenoid coil for a total cost of $382.60. Not the entire shuttle valve, just the little coil held on with one s**** When I inquired about the parts warranty, the tech told me to take it up with the front office. The next day, it was blowing heat again and they said they were closed for the weekend. They came out the second time and said they repaired some wiring and charged me $51 for labor. I asked Arctic Breeze about the warranty on the part which for which they charged me $262.60 and they told me that was the "warranty price" for the part. I found the exact same part on **** for $80. I initially offered to return their coil for a refund, but they threw my solenoid away. During this conversation, they told me they get that solenoid coil from supplyhouse.com for $70. They are so comfortable scamming people, they had no problem telling me they marked up a "warranty" part about 350%. After some back and forth, they agreed to refund me for the solenoid. They didn't see fit to refund me for the labor on the initial visit where the tech misdiagnosed my issue.I have all the texts, emails, invoices to prove all I'm saying. After this I contacted my HVAC manufacturer and they confirmed via email that Arctic Breeze never should have charged me for the part in the first place. They also told me that warranty parts are to be returned for credit, yet the tech threw it away. Scamming in the 1st degree. He obviously knew they were not going to try to warranty the part. It's much easier to just not honor the warranty and markup the price 350%. Shame on you Arctic Breeze. How many others have you charged for warranty parts?I have filed a dispute with my credit card company for the $51 they charged me on the first visit.

I would advise those reading this review to take it with a grain of salt. The customer above has only given a snippet of what actually occurred. The part in reference to his review, the reversing valve solenoid coil, is approximately 2 months from the factory- for all manufacturers. And that does not always happen as quickly as the estimated date from the manufacturer. We have found that between long lead times for certain parts or for supply house charges that are not covered by the manufacturers warranty, that offering customers a generic part to get them cooling, or in this case what will be heating, has been a far superior solution than waiting for raw materials to arrive to the manufacturer. This was explained to this customer. This part in particular is practically out of stock across the country with the exception of a couple of online stores. But when these are purchased from an online store, there is no warranty from the manufacturer. That being said, looking online for a part is great that you can see the cost of that part, from the seller- not the manufacturer or HVAC supply house. We cannot guarantee that those parts are not used or were stolen. Again, seeing those parts online is great but that obviously negates the cost of doing business. We all know that the cost of everything has gone up. But to send one of our technicians to your home costs money before he even steps out of his vehicle. *************** a vehicle filled with factory parts and supplies all adds up quick! That online part has no warranty when purchased online. When we replace parts, we give a year labor warranty on that part to customers. What Trane Technologies told the reviewer is correct. When a customer does have a warranty on their HVAC system, the part is covered under warranty. But that is it. That warranty does not cover labor, the processing of the part, the shipping of the part, and any other fees from the local supply house. With this manufacturer, Trane- which is also ****************** we process numerous warranties daily with them. Ameristar is an ***************** brand. The Trades are an important piece to our economy, so when we send a technician to your home, you are also paying for the knowledge of that service tech to work on your system. We are all human, so at times a technician can make a mistake and we do the best that we can to remedy those situations and the vast majority of our customers know and realize this. With this customer in particular, we decided it was in our best interest to refund him the money for the part in question and we can part ways. He texted us through our website, which is answered Monday through Friday- with a default message in the evenings and on the weekends that we are closed. We did fix the issue with his system, but this is the response that we received from him:Here's my new proposal. You refund me for the first visit, or I am going to raise a negative social media storm, contact the BBB, contact Ameristar, and submit reviews on every possible site about your refusal to honor the warranty, your lack of knowledge, the ridiculous markup on parts, and all the pictures and text to prove I'm not just making this up.We honor the existing warranty on every system that we service. We do our due diligence to make sure that our customers are taken care of. This was our first and final interaction with this customer. We do not take these types of reviews lightly, we make sure that we have done the best of our ability to satisfy the customer. We have gone the extra mile, due to this one customer's dissatisfaction, and have offered a full refund.

Our AC stopped. Artic Air came out the same day however it was raining once he got here. He stated that the fan blade was 'ripped' and the fan motor was stopped and the capacitor probably needed to be replaced. It would run $1000 to $1200 and he would have to order parts. Since it was raining, he wanted to come back in the morning. We said 'ok' and he left. After it stopped raining we went outside and saw that the blade 'looked' as if it had been cut and bent from the trailing edge. (Did he try to put the fan off? We do not know but it doesn't look like it could have happened without human help) When we called to have a supervisor take a look - we did not accuse, just said that it looked odd and would like him/her to take a look to inspect. *****( I believe that was her name) seemed appalled that we may be accusing their technician of any wrongdoing. We explained that is 'why' we wanted a supervisor to explain it to us. She responded that the supervisor couldn't speak to us until next week. We cancelled the service and we are calling another company. If you are a reputable company, wouldn't you WANT a supervisor to look at a possible technician error? Makes us suspicious, to say the least.

Unhappy with the way my request for service was handled. When I requested service, I explained that I had tenants in the condo and access for service would need to be schedule through them. I did request that I was available at any time, but I needed to be there when the Tech arrived. The tech arrived early but I was not informed of the time change. My AC unit was installed by Artic Breeze, in a rental condo, in March 2021. Artic Breeze performed an AC check in Feb. 2022. In June 2022, first sign of 90 plus temperature, the air handler started sweating and leaked on the carpet. I was told the excess sweating was due to the wrong size filter. I explained that I had to remove the filter, Artic Breeze installed the filter during the Feb. 2022 check, as it was water soaked, I was not able to find the correct size filter locally, and I installed one that was close to the correct size, temporarily. The tech then changed his mind and said it was due to the heat exchanger coil being slightly dirty. When I asked if cleaning the coil was part of the Feb AC check, I was told different AC techs have different work ethics. I was not given either a bill or a service report from the attending tech. When I spoke to Artic Breeze office personnel, they just wanted my Credit Card information and did not address my concerns. 0 Stars

Hi ************, according to our notes (which are time stamped), we have a slightly different story to tell. When you had requested service, we have that note that says that you wanted to be present at the time of service. However, when our tech started running ahead of schedule, a member of our office staff called and left a voice message on your cell phone at 12:44pm to let you know that he was headed over to your condo. Our tech arrived on the job 45 minutes later, or 30 minutes early. But everything had been attempted to be communicated to you and your tenant. Your tenant was available to be present.Yes, we did a complimentary preventative maintenance check for your new system in Feb. 2022. We hope that the filter was at least checked monthly since that time of the check, but tenants do not always do that. Further, the filter should have been changed with a correct sized filter. By not doing so, you could have compromised your air handler unit- by allowing a smaller sized filter to be in the unit for an undisclosed period of time, which can allow dirt and debris to accumulate on the system. Our tech did not change his mind, but further informed you of what had occurred by not putting in the correct sized filter as he was looking into what was causing the system to sweat internally. For the complimentary preventative maintenance, there is not a coil cleaning- the system is less than a year old and that should not be needed. The tech at the time of service was trying to fix a problem that was created by putting the wrong sized filter in the air handler unit. He even went above and beyond by cleaning the coil at NO COST TO YOU.When you had contacted us, our office staff member did indeed listen to your concern and sent you a copy of the invoice and had asked to communicate back to us with any further questions. You have opted not to do so and instead decided to voice your concern here, which is always your choice.Unfortunately, ************ from what both my office staff and the tech that was out there have said, you were not being kind in person and on the phone. Our staff provided top notch service to make sure that your tenant had cooling, which we did.

I feel I must write a review after reading the ***** W review to do justice to Arctic Breeze and their personnel.Arctic Breeze installed a new Air Conditioner system for me back in April 2016. Since then I have used their services for routine Semi Annual Maintenance and for the occasional problems. They don't always send the same technicians so I've observed a number of them in the last six years. I have never experienced any problems with Arctic Breeze's personnel. They have always been professional, polite and most importantly for me they have all shown themselves to be well versed on my system and the technology in general.I would not hesitate to recommend this company to service anyone's air conditioner system or any other services they might provide.

Hi *****, this is an issue that is between you and your property management company. We had our technician on the premises and he rang the door **** and stepped back, as he always does. Your husband looked through the window and waved our guy up. Our technician was working, in the attic, and was almost done with the work when we had to pull him off of the job. We informed your management company that we had to pull him off of the job because of how you were treating our office staff. You were complaining to us and your property management company while our guy was on the job. He had no interaction with you, he only had interaction with your husband. And your husband had said, when our guy was packing up, "she already called and complained?" Again, *****, this is an issue between you and your property management company- who we have a great relationship with.
