Complaint: I purchased a used vehicle from Lucas on June 14(65 days ago) and still have not received my paperwork for my title and ad valorem in Georgia. I was told after the first couple of weeks that the vehicle I purchased had a lien still on it, but it was no big deal and would cleared up very quickly. Here I am 65 days later with no title, false promises, and phone calls not being returned. My insurance company is now asking why my insured vans VIN number is not showing up in the State of Georgia's database. If they would have just been honest from the beginning and said "Sorry, it will be three months to clear this up" I would have been much more understanding.

Desired Settlement: I would just like to have my clean title in my hands and for Lucas to pay all my late Ad Valorem fees, which they have promised.

I have read *** ******* comments.  The vehicle he purchased was misrepresented to us in reference to the multiple liens against it. During the time the customer traded the vehicle purchased by *** *****, we did not have any knowledge of additional liens.


We literally sell thousands of vehicles each year and I can remember a situation similar to this happening one time. This is very uncommon. We did everything possible to secure the title. Our company paid thousands of additional dollars to have the title released. The lien holder has complete control of when they will release the title. The lien holder has made multiple statements that they were releasing the title. We have talked with the lien holder many, many times. We are at their mercy. 


I feel Lucas Honda has done everything within our power to expedite this situation.


I understand *** ******* frustration. I can assure you we are frustrated as well.


To remedy this situation immediately for *** *******, I have sent a memo to Mr. ***** ***** who will contact *** ******* on August 23, 2013 to arrange pick up of the vehicle.  We will pay off the current loan, reimburse *** ******* the $894.21 he put down plus any installment payment he made.


I do apologize for this situation and inconvenience.
