Complaint: i bought a pre owned ford with only 35k miles. Engine has a knock. i was told i had a 60 day warranty. truck has been in the shop at Autonation Ford for 36 days today and they have not done a **** thing to fix my truck. im coming up on my second truck payment being due and i have not driven this vehicle in 36 days. Getting the run around from management.

Desired Settlement: I want my March truck payment to be paid by Autonation Ford Jacksonville.

Business Response: The customers truck should be completed no later then Monday March 21,2016. We will cut the customer a check for his March payment

Complaint: looked at a vehicle for sale at autonation ford after spending a couple weeks looking.fell in love with it but it had a few things wrong with it.they agreed to fix the problems so we went ahead and purchused the vehicle on 3/08/2015.they had it over a week but they did let us use a loaner type vehicle.on 03/17/2015 my wife recieved a call that the car fell off of their lift while servicing it.then they gave us a rental(which was a gas hog).now they tell us that the one we purchased is totalled.They tried to see if we wanted the same type but a year older and more miles on it for the same price or buy another one and pay the they say come get your money back in the form of a check.We pay them$7450.00 in cash.Not happy about the way we are being treated plus the money we are out for putting fuel in this expedition.all i want is our cash back,no check,and money for atleast half of the fuel i paid for.

Desired Settlement: all my cash back and half of the fuel for the rental they gave us plus apology.they even took away the excitement of bringing home and enjoying our vehicle.

Complaint: My family car started messing up on Dec 2 on our way to GA. So we took it to the dealership which after checking on it they said we needed a new engine so they would have to order the motor and they gave us a date that the car would be ready. We also told them our situation where we were on the process of moving after Christmas and has plans to travel to NC for the holidays. But we were told that this job wouldn't take no more than 2 weeks. Then we had to call in for updates then were given false info bout the motor not being there when it was. Now we have missed Christmas and my car still isn't finished. I had a conversation with *** on Dec 26 & he told us that he never said that it would be done on Christmas like we made it up. That's when he said that he has been spending time on my car when he has customer who bought cars from him. Then he did it again, told us that it should be done by sat. But as soon as he hung up I have a voicemail saying from the dealership that they had to order more parts so it going to be longer. Feels like we have been taken advantage of and received horrible customer service. I don't think as a customer should have to explain good customer service. This dealership did not keep me informed. I had to call the customer service department to speak with Heather to get them to call me. I keep getting false info and was lied to. Then I was accused of lying on what i was told. Then insulted by being asked if this was even my car as if it couldn't been my car since he has been conversing with me.

Desired Settlement: I'm not sure what would you want if someone cause you to miss Christmas with your family and my spouses' Birthday?

Business Response: Customers car was diagnosed with an engine problem and we ordered a New engine from ford. This was the first time we worked on this kind of engine before so when the engine came in it was missing some seals and gaskets and bolts that we had to reorder from Ford and during the holiday season things are a little slower than we like. The Mechanic doing the job also for the first time slows him down because each job is always a little different. We put the customer in a rental the whole time we had there car and repaired it as quickly as possible. The first car they did not like so we got the second car down in Leesburg thru **********. They were not without transportation at any time so i do not see how they were not able to travel. The process of getting the Vehicle completed was a little slow considering it was the first engine like this we had done as far as taking it apart and knowing what parts they did not send us. The engine was repaired under warranty and the rental car was a no charge item. I understand the inconvience around Christmas and the timing. Would be glad to assist in any way possible but as the customer stated, how do value inconvience. Let me know if there is something we can do

Complaint: To Whom It May Concern,I have purchased the car in November 2013 11.16.2013.The extended warranty was included. 11.17.2013 I have cancelled the extended warranty the next day,but the balance on the original loan was never sent to the bank. I try to contact them,sending emails,going to the office,promise was that it will be fixed within 10 day,but as of today 04.21.2014 the loan balance remain same and per conversation with the bank no action was taken from Auto Nation yet. They still didn't send the check.Please help me.

Complaint: I bought a 2004 Ford Mustang convertible from Auto Nation Ford in Jacksonville, Fl 8/2013. I was sold an extended warranty which covered anything that should go wrong with the car including the convertible top from **** *******. In late December I took the car in because there was a problem with the ABS system as well as the convertible top. They fixed the ABS problem but told us that the convertible top was not covered under the warranty. When they told me that the top was not covered, I went to **** *******s office and complained. He agreed that it should have been covered. He said he would check on it and call me back. I gave it 2 weeks. I never received a call from him then I tried to talk to the next level, the store manager *** ******. I left *** a message and 30 minutes later I got a call from **** ******* telling me that he would check on it again. My husband called 2/3/2013 and left a message and no response from anybody.He called again 2/7/2013 left another message and again no response! This has been going on for over a month and I have no other option but to contact the BBB about this.

Desired Settlement: We want the convertible top fixed.

Complaint: Dealer sold an Extended service contract based on the verbal statement that the contract (3 years/36,000 miles) would start after the manufactures warranty ended at 36,000 miles (The purchase was a used 2011 Jeep with 20,866 miles). The coverage though appears to start with the purchase date and mileage, not at the end of the manufactures 36,000 mile warranty. When asked to cancel the policy as no need to have an overlapping coverage on the Jeep, was informed the refund would be $1,080 of the $1,890 purchase price after 13 months. Pro rating this would be a refund of $1,207. **** ****r Co. can not provide the calculation as to how their $1,080 was derived.The service agreement hard copy was not provided for review prior to signing, only a desk top display with electronic signature, at which point again, the sales manager indicated the coverage would begin after the manufactures warranty expired. Due to the bait and switch on what the extended warranty coverage would actually start vs. when it did, I Would like a refund of the difference of $810, minus an acceptable cancellation fee from Mike Shad and /or Ford Motor Co.Thank you

Desired Settlement: Refund of complete extended service contract amount of $1,890.

Upon researching the concern we pulled all of our paperwork on this customer. In the paper work it shows where we offered the customer a warranty, the warrantyt documents the customer signed clearly states the warranty coverages completely and all documents were printed and given to the customer. No warranty sold on a Used car will cover another Manufacturers warranty after The new vehicle warranty expires. All manufacturers warranties will cover there own Vehicles and the coverage will not start until the New car warranty expirers. That is only on like products to the Manufacturer. With all the info we have trying to argue a he said she said conversation, we have decided to refund the customer for the warranty they purchased.
