I left my 2018 Hyundai Sonata with Hampton Collision at their Virginia Beach location on 4/10/23 to repair or replace my rear bumper. I was told repairs would take 4-5 days. When it took longer, they told me and my insurance company they were waiting on a part.They kept my car for over 30 days without making the repair before my insurance company removed it and had moved it to a different repair facility. It appeared Hampton Collision was going out of business. My insurance company told me there were many other cars there that needed repair but no repairs were being performed. It appeared Hampton Collision while closing down was still collecting insurance. I cannot state that as a fact though. The new repair facility repaired my vehicle in 5 business days and returned to me in perfect condition. Hampton Collision Center constantly lied to me about the repair status. In 30 days they contacted me only twice with "updates" They said they were waiting on a part (no extra parts were needed when the other company repaired it). Their telephone systems at their Virginia Beach or Hampton locations were inoperative the whole 30 days. They lied and said it was a problem caused by the cable company. (A business would not wait 30 days to have their phone system fixed!) They had no website or known email address which I found out after I dropped off my vehicle (They did when I used them before). They moved my car from Virginia Beach to Hampton without my knowledge or consent and stated it was because their VA Beach paint shop was down (I late found that was a lie. They were shutting down their VA Beach location according to what one of their former employees told me later). I only was patient because I had used them in 2021 when they had a great support staff and the repairs were first rate. Also they were an authorized repair facility of my insurance company and getting parts is a problem in today's world.
