BBB Charity Seal Program Fee Schedule and Sample Seal

  • If the Foundation determines that a charity meets all 20 Standards for Charity Accountability and has completed two full fiscal years of operations, the charity has the option to apply for this seal.
  • Seal applicants pay a fee and sign a licensing agreement in order to participate in the Seal Program.
  • The fee schedule shown below is based on one year of participation. The fee will be pro-rated in order to correspond with the expiration date of the charity report.
  • The seal fee is determined by the amount of total contributions received by the charity during the past fiscal year.
    • The total contribution amount refers to the total amount of public support. Public support includes, but is not limited to, individual contributions, contributions from corporate and private funders, indirect support and federated giving (e.g., United Way), contributions received from special events, and government grants that are not contract or fee for service grants.
