Additional Complaint Information
BBB files indicate a pattern of complaints concerning damaged merchandise, missing redemptions, and unresponsive customer service. Consumers are telling BBB about their experiences after placing an order for baseball cards with The Topps Company, Inc. Several consumers allege that they have received damaged or misprinted cards from the company. Other consumers complain that when they seek to fulfill a redemption card for autographed or memorabilia cards, Topps never sends the card or sends them a card of lesser value. Many consumers claim that when they try to contact customer service about their issues, they are unable to get a response from the company, despite multiple attempts. Numerous complaints are beginning to go unanswered by the company.
On July 20, 2015, Metro NY BBB contacted the company to request their voluntary cooperation in resolving the underlying issues of the identified pattern of complaints. As of August 24, 2015, the Topps Co. has responded to BBB and indicated that they have been working and will continue to work on improving their production capabilities as well as their redemption program. The company says it is committed to resolving consumer disputes and has begun working to resolve the outstanding BBB complaints.
