I looked at a **** grey Taos SE with no sunroof on 1/7/24 which looked beautiful inside and out with salesman ******. Went back to VW of Huntington on 1/8/24 with cash to purchase the grey **** and told ****** the car looks different. I see white stuff along both sides of the car underneath. He thought it was ice. Told him no snow, it felt like a waxy substance. I then looked inside the car and there was lint everywhere from rags while cleaning it and some dust. I told him this and he said the men are hired to clean but speak little english. No to have car cleaned again. I signed the papers and left to go have lunch 10 minutes away because my son was sooo hungry. As I got out of car I saw two blemishes (water spots) on the hood. I took pictures of it. After lunch I went back to VW. I showed ****** and he agreed the spots are a DEFECT in the paint. He had the spots waxed, heated, cleaned car inside and out and still the spots stayed. I told him I don't want the car and he told me it is mine and I can't return it bc it will then be considered a used car and they will lose money. ****** said he can't change the hood bc it is numbered. He put a claim ticket in to have the roof sanded down and repainted. I told him again the car is brand new and has a DEFECT and I don't want it. It didn't even smell new inside even though they told me it came in on 12/31/23 . NO manager to speak to so I left. On 1/9/**** I went to VW at 9:15am to give back the car and again NO manager to speak with. ****** said to come back after 2pm bc the manager has a new baby and sleeps late. I left the car there and refused to drive it. ****** said he is not responsible for the car if it gets damaged. Friend drove me home. I returned 3pm to speak with manager ***** who refused to give me CASH and take car back after speaking over an hour. HE agreed there is a paint DEFECT. HE will remove damaged roof and replace roof from another silver ****. ***** unhappy car was left at VW and will tow it.
