    We purchased a ductless split ac system from this company in 2018 at an approximate cost of 13k. Since then they have returned 17 times or more for problems related to the installation. Their own technicians have acknowledged that the installation was faulty and has led to the litany of problems we have had since , including water damage from leaking units on our interior walls, corrosion of connectors and ducts ($1700 charge in may 2022 which is still not fixed properly as the system is not cooling as it should) and now most recently a totally non operational system. We were told all parts were under warranty and waited more than a month when temps were 90+ daily for the warranty parts to arrive. We were told that we would only pay for labor. Estimate was $1290 plus tax with no hourly breakdown. I inquired and they said it would take **** hours to diagnose and fix the problem. They refused to give an hourly service fee which was a huge red flag. 7/13: they come and spent less than an hour diagnosing rhe problem. They charge us $700 (half the estimate) for that time which again was to be labor only. Today 8/17 they return and spend another hour only to tell us that it cannot be fixed and seeking to CHarge the remaining $700. Even though they already received $700 for 2 hours of labor which did not even successfully address the problem. The majority of their time today was trying to upsell us into a new system $7000 for one side or $14k for both sides. Given the issues that weve already had after only a few years and that weve already paid this company more than $15k with various service charges due to Their shoddy service theres no way I would do that. I have attempted to rectify numerous times and been stonewalled by the company and now am left with a broken down system and no solution.

    WISH I COULD GIVE 0 stars. I am not a person to ever write a review, but from the experience with Gold Star I absolutely feel inclined to do so. I had to have them come back 3 times in the same month and spend $4,000 later (DISCOUNTED). I will first start off by saying the technicians themselves ******************* were courteous and did everything they were instructed to the best of my knowledge. However, it doesn't excuse the fact that my heat wasn't fixed on 3 separate occasions, for the same error code that kept showing up. They had to constantly be on the phone with the manufacturer, but neither of them could figure it out. The communication clearly was lacking and poor because they made us replace the entire control panel that was not really anything to do with the problem. Total scheme, we fell for it and 2k down the drain. Heat didnt work after they replaced it. Then they come back the second time and talk to the manufacturer again. Manufacturer tells them it's the thermostat now that we need a new one, for ANOTHER $700. THE NEXT DAY, HEAT NOT WORKING. Now a third technician coming out, has to go on the roof to check the vents outside. WHY THIS WASNT DONE FROM DAY 1 IS BEYOND ME. would of saved us ***** and time. I also checked with the previous owner of the house who informed me that ******** was the one who installed the system. Yet we Gold star doesn't have anything on record for installing this for us, and claims they didn't install it. Yet the sticker is right on the boiler system itself. So they are also a bunch of liars. NEVER AGAIN WOULD I EVER RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. TOTAL SCAM I WANT MY MONEY BACK.
