Complaint: I contracted I-tech Security to install a security system which I would be able to access remotely since I was to be traveling. The installation or lack thereof does not work and has never worked, and the company has been non-responsive. The installer sent by the company did the minimum work possible, i.e., did not properly or fully set up the security DVR, failed to provide a tamper proof security camera or give a choice of camera (in fact the camera installed had an external lever accessible to others, which the installer called “the joystick”, and other issues. He assured me the system was up and running without his checking to see it was indeed working, did not demonstrate it was working or show me how to access it. Following his claim that the security system was working, I am wary when he copied onto his laptop my computer’s IP configuration page along with other information, after which, while the installer was there, neither the security DVR or cameras were accessible. Please note that before the installer came, the DVR and then existing camera were accessible locally. The installer refused to fix it or finish the installation, and presented me with a bill and since I was alone with him in a confined space (my bedroom), and in view of the manner in which he treated this contract, I felt vulnerable, and I paid him in full to avoid any issues, believing I would work it out later with the company. But, he denied the ability to call him or to call his company for support. After this incident, I contact their office at various times, including on 7/*/12, when I was due to travel. And, indeed despite calls and my letter dated February **, 2013, (see below) the company has ignored my inquiries for support. Further, as a result of this non-working security system for which I fully paid, I had to return early from my trip, and incurred other expenses and stress.

Desired Settlement: As the services and product agreed upon was not performed, at the very least a full refund provided.
