In a gut reno of ***********************************************, Royal delivered an elecrolux dryer to the job site. Because of Covid and related supply chain is***s, I was not able to test the dryer until 2022. It never got hot. In 2023, I finally moved in and tried a load and again it never got hot. Royal Green stated the product was out of warranty, so I paid a tech $136.09 to diagnose the iss***. He said the dryer igniter was broken, and said this must have been on delivery by Royal. He said it could be fixed if i paid for a new part and the installation cost, $352.76. I asked Royal to pay these charges, as clearly they were at fault and cracked the igniter when delivered. They refused to pay even a *****. So I had the tech do the work (today, 12/19/2023) and the dryer finally works. I reached out to Royal Green again today, and still they refuse to pay a *****. I asked if they had ever heard of a dryer with a broken igniter. Royal responded with silence. To me, Royal is like a used car salesman who delivers you a car and crashes it in the process, so it is not drivable. They have spent a lot of time reminding me that the dryer was out of warranty, but that is irrelevant. No manufacturer warranty on earth would cover negligence on delivery. I am seeking just the $****** that I had to lay out to fix their negligence, but they are adamant that they will not pay a ***** for this. I think it would be easier if they just pay this, and in discussing this matter on the phone with me, I suspect they have lost at least this amount in sales. I am aware i can *** them in ** small claims for up to $10,000. If I need to go that way, they would be on the hook for$******, for a full refund of the amount of the dryer, and for the pain and suffering I have endured. But I will settle for ****** now.
