    Stayed in this hotel at the start of July. When we were at the pool the television fell from the wall. Luckily nobody was in the room or it could have fallen on them! The TV which was approximately 60 inches inches in size, attached to a large TV bracket, the bracket was attached to the plaster/ stud partition wall with 3 x small screws (1 1/2 inch) small self tappers, 1 screw was into a plasterboard wall plug the other 2 into tiny masonry Red wall plugs ( I have photos). The TV and bracket had pulled out of the plaster /stud wall and crashed to the desk/Floor. I notified staff but they were more interested in taking money out of our account (without authorisation) than speaking to us. It was only at our instance that the manager came to our room to look at the wall. By this point the maintenance man had fitted the same bracket back up 2 inches to the left, using the same size screws, unbelievable!( I have photographs showing this) Two people then proceeded to lift a replacement television back up, despite me telling them that it is not strong enough. The maintenance person should know better! I am very concerned that it is only a matter of time before someone gets injured! Just for your information, I am 57, my wife is 56 and my son 23, not a bunch of drunken teenagers. Hotel reception staff and the manager made the assumption that one of us pulled the television from the wall! We asked the Manager to correlate the door key movements to the CCTV, and myself in my swimwear calling the staff next door, this was shortly after the room was cleaned.! In fact the manager's final comment was that 'we were guilty as hell' and walked off, refusing to speak to us! This incident and the attitude of staff ruined our stay, we were interrogated and treated like criminals!! Plus the Hotel tried to charge another 100$ AFTER CHECKOUT! I have three investigations under way, from Mastercard , Hotel chain and Louisiana state Department, All photographic evidence will be submitted.

    I bookedhotel reservations at MaisonStCharles Feb 6, 2022, whichwas supposed to be an incredible final four experience with my son but turned into a nightmare experience. Last year my son and I went to NO to watch the final four. After reading some reviews I wanted a refund and canceled my reservations. The staff said I could not be refunded because, "you paid in full." Staff told me I needed to call back the next day, which I did. I spoke to staff and she told me it may be difficult to get your refund as you booked in "special event weekend." I told her I was never told this when I purchased these reservations. I also told her I wanted to cancel within 2 hours of when I booked the reservations.She told me to call GMGR which I did.He told me the samething I cannot get a refund. The amount I paid was *******. I told him as I told staff I was never told this, nor could I find this on the website. After going back in forth with GMGR and my credit card company, for several weeks, I was exhausted and at a loss. At this point I gave up and drove to the hotel (from *******) and decided to stay with my son April 1. When I arrived to check in, I was told I did not have reservations. I said, "what do you mean," as I showed them my receipt. The person told me my claim has been in dispute and I should be getting a refund. I did not know what to do as I am not from NO. I felt so bad for my son, as this was supposed to be a great bonding memory with him. Writing this make me sad/angry when I think about the nonsense I was put through. I felt very uncomfortable, so I looked for other places to get reservations. I was desperate as the game was going to start soon. I ended up booking at a much better location and it was walking distance to the Stadium. It was perfect. Long story short, I got home to find out GMGR had still billed me for the hotel, which I did not stay in. I called my credit card company. Thankfully they could see I was taken advantage of and they got my money back.
