Complaint: In 2012 I was going through chapter 12 and my truck was excluded from the bankruptcy. My Other car was surrendered without any problems. My attorney stated that it was two different loans. I have made every payment on my truck on time, every month. While waiting I became very ill causing me to change my bankruptcy to a chapter 8. On 7-1-09 I bought two (1car, 1truck)with them I bought the life and disability insurance. The payments for the insurance is added to my interest on the contract i signed. Once I was notified that I was disabled and I got to where I could get around better I went to the bank and was told that the insurance was cancelled. I have asked why and who cancelled it the information has stopped.I have been told I have to talk to someone in ElPaso. I have left 3 messages plus I have gone back to the federal credit union on del ray office. Is there anything you can do.

Desired Settlement: I would like the disability insurance that I signed up for and I believe I am still paying for. My payment amount has never changed from day one on the truck and I was never notified that it was cancelled.

A written response was mailed directly to *** ******** ***** providing information as to the circumstances that led the credit union to cancel the single life and disability insurance.  We have contacted CUNA Mutual and they are reviewing the credit union’s request to reinstate the insurance and have provided *** ***** with the documents for the disability claim.  Once the final decision is made, *** ***** will be contacted by the Collection Manager ****** ****.  An e-mailed response was also sent to *** *****.

I am happy that First light has responded  to your inquire.  I see we are going forward at the present time.  I am doing all I can to get the information to Cuna. 

 As long as we continue in a  forward direction I am completely satisfied.
