I recently pursued (and later purchased) a property with a known septic system malfunction. The previous owner pre-paid York Septic for half of the necessary septic repair, and was then to pay the other half upon completion of the repair. 50% pre-payment was made by the previous owner in July or Aug. of this year (about $4950 of an estimated $9900 total for the repair). York then postponed the project (while still under the ownership/oversight of the previous owner) multiple times. We later finalized the purchase of the property and closed in late September with the previous owner agreeing to pay York the remaining half of the estimate. This left York paid in full as of September of this year. Under my ownership, they have since postponed the project again twice and have not responded to multiple phone calls (I called during business hours and left two voicemails within the past few weeks). To date, the only work that has been done is the gravel company that contracts with the septic co. has dropped off a load of gravel on our property. What I am seeking is to simply have York begin the repair ASAP and complete it in a reasonable time frame. Any assistance in this manner is greatly appreciated.
