They don't even deserve one star. Jan 21st I ordered home security and financed $1,100 worth of equipment and both the equipment finance people and Brinks started charging me. I had 3 appointments to install the system and after the third time they cancelled on me, I told them that I want to cancel them. It is June 1st and this is my 20th call trying to get them to cancel and refund my money. ANYONE BUT THESE VAMPIRES!Review from Ron H

This company has horrible customer service and has attempted to **** me for their errors after I cancelled their service.In order to cancel the service at the end of my contract they stated it it would take 30 days and attempted to **** me an additional month. I refused to pay the fee and they turned my account over to two collection agencies over a two year period. They also had a convicted felon serving as my sales agent and he fraudulently installed several window sensors connected together to in the main alarm control box. The set up permitted the alarm to read and respond when doors or windows were opened/closed but provided no real alarm security notifications during the 3-year period. Monitronics/Brinks disavowed any responsibility for the fraudulent installed and stated that the salesperson was an independent contractor. However, after collecting contract payments of $69 per month for 3-years, they just hired a collection agency in an attempt to collect an additional $167 from me (one month service fee, plus collection fees). What a lousy, dishonest company! Why is this type of fraud and dishonesty allowed by a company?
