In November 2019, Collignon Roofing replaced a temporary ridge cap on our roof with a ridge cap it bought. The replacement ridge cap was the wrong size and gauge. At the completion of the job, ***** Collignon said the job "looks like s..t" and that he would redo it correctly in the spring 2020. I called in the winter and in the spring to set a date for the work. I was assured the work would be done within the month. The spring, summer, and fall came and went with assurances the work would be done.In the late fall of 2020, it was set that the ridge cap would be replaced as soon as the snow was off the roof in 2021. I called in March saying that there was snow on the roof, but would like to set a date for ****** ***** confirmed that he would get to the roof. *****, the office manager, promised that ***** knew about the job, that the material had been ordered, later countering that saying the material would be ordered when the job started, that ***** had the job on his schedule. On June 1, 2021, I received an email stating "I am sorry to have to write this, but we are unable to take on your ridge cap project.... Best, Collignon Roofing LLC." I had assumed that Collignon Roofing was busy, but that ***** and *************************** were men of their word and that Collignon Roofing was a reputable business and they would get to the job. This assumption was wrong. They reneged on their repeated promises and simply walked away.I appreciate that it is difficult to find labor, and that this is not a big job, but Collignon made promises to fix the faulty work it had done, and we expected them to honor their promises. Collignon Roofing failed to honor its promises and obligation, and we are left with their mess to live. with. *****************************
