I became a client of Paws in Action in 2021 for occasional potty breaks. They were licensed in the state of NM at that time. I began weekly walks in Feb 22. At this time, I thought she was still a licensed business in NM. The license was revoked in Jan 22. In Aug 21, I booked two weeks of pet sitting for **** 22.May 4-7: I did a trial run with the pet setting. All went well.I left for my trip on **** 11. On **** 23, I received a lot of notifications for my side camera; every time it was my dog. She doesnt stay outside. I checked and the back door had been open for a few hours. Since I wasnt getting responses over WhatsApp, I iMessaged the pet sitter asking if everything was ok. He said he had a busy day and left the door open for the dog while he was out doing other jobs. I told him he needs to go back and lock up my home. At this time, I contacted the owner and told her it was unacceptable. We went back and forth for several hours over it. I told her I wanted to talk when I returned home about some type of remedy. She insisted it be discussed then, we had a very heated call, and she threatened to pull the dog sitter before I was home. We came to what I thought was an agreement. Later, she started contacting me asking me to agree that I wouldnt leave a review. I refused. She pulled the dog sitter before I was home and before our agreed time.When I got home, I noticed a terrible smell in the house. My dog had several accidents in the guest room while I was gone. I wasn't notified of any of the accidents and any liquid accident did not appear to have been cleaned. I shampooed the carpet 8x, had a professional come in to clean & deodorize, and put down nature's miracle twice. None of this worked and I had to replace the floor.As time has passed, *** had more neighbors telling me that things seemed off while I was out of town. I will not be using PIA again nor will I recommend them. This was a horrible end to what was otherwise a very lovely vacation.
