      Christmas Eve my 83 year old mother had her meter disassembled because of a leak at the meter. Finally got a plumber to **mplete the job and the plumber got the state inspector out right away- because mom had not had heat for FOUR days. NM gas is too lazy to get out there after the state released the meter. They will not help an old lady freezing in her home. Mom will not leave, gas ** **uld not even be bothered to check if she had space heaters or get out there when the job was done. Shameful. I call the company and was told because I am not on her ac**unt there is nothing they will do other than I **uld call with her so she **uld verify the ac**unt. Why? All we want is for the company to do what it says- care about their customers. This company only cares about money because if I wanted to pay her bill they would happily take my money but if they have to work forget it. Freeze for all they care.

      This is an update. A day after my review, a nm gas ** representative did reach out to me to discuss my **ncerns/frustration which honestly made me feel heard and valued I do appreciate the **ntact. I am revising my earlier review based on this fact: the ** has company is trying to **rrect their weak areas so we all can enjoy a safe and helpful service.

      WORST COMPANY! I moved over 6 Months ago out of state and they are still trying to bill me!!! I have called them 4 times now and EVERY time I call they say I havent even called them!!!

      Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Rep repeatedly cut me off while I was talking and had zero empathy for my issue that only resulted from their technician not fully doing their job when they started my service. The representatives appeared to be trained in defending their personal feelings and are not trained to truly deal with customers real problens. They also could not give me direct contact with a supervisor for 24 hours. That is unacceptable for customers to wait for problems to be addressed.

      We had a gas leak in our main meter so I called New Mexico gas company and they came right away. **************'s name was *** and he was very kind sweet and knowledgeable. *** deserves a raise just based off of his kindness. Thanks ***.

      The Nmgco is complete trash. They have a monopoly on gas production and distribution, and therefore dont care about any kind of customer service/satisfaction. Its treated like a mafia scenario; we all pay whatever they want, they do whatever they want, and no one can say anything or their gas gets cut off. They should be ashamed of themselves

      New Mexico gas company should review their fraudulent billing practices. I am writing to warn other customers especially elderly, about how the New Mexico Gas company has fraudulently applied my current payments to old closed account with zero balance twice without applying it the current account. The account numbers are totally different. This has been done recently and was by the supervisor at the New Mexico Gas Company who set up the new account. The new account was set up because the computer system made a mistake and applied state money for low income people to a old account that was past due 2 years ago. I was told by the New Mexico Gas-supervisor that this error was not done manually by a person but a computer error. But this month I received a automated call from New Mexico Gas Company that my gas was going to be disconnected after making a $103.00 payment on 4/8/2022 and I was told yesterday that the total balance on the new account was $147.00 the same amount it was when I paid the $103.00 on 4/8/2022. I made another payment of $100.00 on 4/26/2022 through the representative named ***** that I sill owed the balance of $47.00 and my current **** is ***** and owed $139.93 on May 3 2022. I want NM Gas company and their fraudulent practices to stop playing with low income elderly people bills by stealing payments from low income help from the state and continued to steal payments even when they said they said the fixed the problem. Beware of this company especially if you are elderly.
