French brothers is one the worst home builders in **********, they have the worst warranty, and horrible customer service. Their houses are built so cheaply but yet are sold for so much. I havent even been in my house for 2 years yet, and my flooring is coming up with moisture, my rock wall is about to fall down and ******* is leaking. This house is a 2022 built. They take no pride in their work, do not get French brothers to build your home

French Brothers built two home for us, one completed 2015 and the other 2017, the smaller home built in 2017 is tearing its self apart, French brothers would not even consider doing anything about it. We hired a construction defect law firm for the case. There are 9 homes in the case. Look up nmcourts.gov and search ********** V. French brothers. Do not have French brothers build you anything, they are the worst home builders ever.

French Brothers is one of the most unprofessional businesses we have ever used. We have built 3 houses in ********** and this is by far the worst experience we have ever had. There have been major issues with our house including plumbing, electric and HVAC. We had zero problems when we built with ***** and *****. They can't seem to keep employees, so every time you call for warranty items, there is a new person to explain problems to. I am not surprised seeing if they treat any of their employees like they treat their customers, I wouldn't stay either. Many of their tradesman won't even come back. They trespassed in our yard without permission or notice and broke down our wall because they miscalculated the grading in the lot next door. Instead of coming up with a fair compromise, they called to tell us they are going to do whatever they want with the wall. Many of our neighbors are experiencing similar problems with French Brothers and I know that no one would choose to do business with them at this point. Do not buy a house from these people.

We were disappointed to hear that this customer's experience was not what they expected - we strive to provide all of our customers with an incredible new home build, from the experience itself to the quality of the home. When we saw that we had missed the **** on this home, we reached out and had a face to face sit down meeting with the customer, the ********** Division President, and the Sales and Design Consultants. After hearing all of their concerns and investigating their warranty record and the build on the adjacent property, we have come up with a plan to address this customer's concerns and have more open communication going forward. We hope that these changes allow for this customer to have a better experience and a happy resolution. We will use their concerns to improve our processes in the future, and look forward to continuing to deliver on our high quality standards.

French Brothers is currently trying to develop two neighborhoods in the same side of town and its becoming too much for them to handle. To begin with, our home was delayed a month. Supplies and workers were not planned out properly by management. We requested for all electric and they plumbed it for gas. They fixed it. We were supposed to get weekly updates and did not for at least a month. If it wasn't for driving by often, we would not have known what was going on. The most frustrating part of the process was the final stage of quality inspection and tour, which should be the most exciting part. Our rep was changed out the week before our walk thru/inspection. During that meeting, we were steered towards avoiding the walk thru and pushed to sign documents first. We had to stop the rep and demand for a walk thru. It was not something encouraged during the meeting. During our walk thru inspection, several items were identified as needing fixed, patched, or replaced. Most were fixed but with an argument on each one. If you do not catch a problem during this walk thru on certain items, you lose the workmanship warranty on it (such as a chipped tile covered by the edge of the carpet). Here are some examples of the arguments we had over discovered items. The French Brothers' rep tried to tell us that the different paint shades on the walls were French Brothers' standard and they weren't going to be fixed. Same thing with stucco spots that were patched and not painted. The stove was dented and were told it was our problem for us to deal with after we sign. The landscaping outside was not what we discussed. Apparently, the flooring does not get sealed either. That becomes your problem after you sign. Basically, everything we pointed out as needing more attention, turned into an argument their standard vs the customer's. If we are spending 300k on a house, our standard should matter too. Most of the items ended up getting fixed but not without argument and standing your ground. After a couple of meetings with the new rep, we requested for a different one on the grounds of the rep being creepy. We didn't get a reply or hear from anyone for 2 weeks and the same rep showed back up. Our request was read and never acted upon. Not even a phone call from someone higher up. After fighting and arguing every time about the standard of quality with the rep, we realized that French Brothers does the bare minimum to get you off their back. We received and email to leave a customer satisfaction survey and quickly realized it was loaded questions for them to have higher ratings. We left comments about our dissatisfaction and never heard back from them or saw them in the reviews. We have tried to reach higher management and do not get anywhere. There is not a number or any contact information for these situations anywhere on their website. We have put in work orders under warranty on our shower not being sealed, front door is not properly sealed, and back door was not properly installed. The only thing fixed is our shower. It has been 3 weeks now and back door will not latch or lock. Overall, their sub contractors are great people, the problem is with the French Brothers not having accountability of their employees or customer check ins on how things are going. It is very frustrating to not have your voice heard and to not feel like a valued/appreciated customer. Most of the people who have built with French Brothers in this town all have stories to trade that are similar to ours. Upper management needs to come in and fix what's going on with this area.

I gave this customer a call after hearing about his experience here and we discussed what had happened during his build. We take full ownership for the fact that the ************* Representative working with this customer did not communicate in a way that was up to French Brothers standards, and apologize that we did not have a better way for this customer to communicate his frustrations to us. I confirmed that his warranty clams have all been properly taken care of as of today, and after hearing his concerns and listening to his suggestions for how we can do better, I believe we both left the call feeling that this situation was resolved. Our customers are our number one priority, and when we miss trying to hit that ****, we take it seriously.

I DO NOT recommend this builder to anyone.Bought a home over a year ago. I was lied to from the beginning from the person who showed the house to me telling me what was included and it wasn't. Then the ******* on the job telling me the same things were included and they weren't. Make sure you get it all in writing before you sign. They change staff about every 3 months.Next for being a brand new home the list of items that needed to be fixed or completed was insane. Here I am over a YEAR later and they are still fixing things. They waited until the last minute to fix what was asked in the beginning, When I say last minute I mean a few weeks after my 1 yr warranty is up. They have changed out people so many times I have lost track. They play hot potato with my house bc it's the problem child. I have yet to hear from upper management or the owners who I have repeatedly requested to speak to. You think that they would want to hear from a paying customer who has been so dissatisfied. Nope Not French Brothers.... they sell it and forget it. Don't waste you money, the amount of anxiety and stress this has caused me is insane. Buying a new home is supposed to be an exciting time (with a little stress I'm sure, but not like this). 1 year later they are breaking into my Stucco and replacing THREE sliding doors and a window. The garage door has had to be repainted 3x because they paint when its closed so when you open it the pain sticks and peels!I have too many things to list on here...I didn't buy the cheapest house on the street but they sure treat me like I got an 80% discount. I am over it. I do not recommend this builder or wish this mess on my worst enemy.Customer service is largely lacking. If you want updates on anything make be prepared to have to continually ask, and then get lied to. Their trades are nice I can't blame them but they do let you know what's going on behind the scenes that the managers keep trying to cover up. Spending this much on a home you think they would show some transparency and appreciation. The only person I did like is pretty much over hearing from me also because I have to keep contacting him over all this.

We are sorry to hear that your experience with our warranty team did not initially meet your expectations, but we hope that your meeting with our Area Construction Manager and the completion of your warranty claims have helped to turn your experience around. We care about each one of our customers and want them to not only have an amazing customer journey, but also live in the home of their dreams. Homes are a hand made product, and as such, can experience some issues throughout the first year, especially as the seasons change. That is why we have such a robust warranty in place and we appreciate the chance you gave us to complete your warranty claims. Your requests to speak to upper management were heard, which is why the Area Construction Manager for all of ********** met with you to discuss your home. We want you to have many more happy years in your home, and hope our relationship with you continues well into your home ownership, even after your warranty period has ended.
