The Vitamin Shoppes online ordering system and the ************* ******* location have a poor inventory system in place. When an item is shown in stock and paid for in full it should be pulled and placed in secure location quickly. When ordered after hours an employee that arrives to open the location should have responsibility to pull orders before doors open to meet the purchase. This location appears to have poor inventory control, and company does not offer any resolve when in error. No option just a cancel and email response. Cold ! Most companies would ship on their dime to client, offer another store locally, or order in the product and offer a delay if client wants item. By failing to respond quickly and fairly the item(s) can be sold out at other locations also. Essentially the client is not valued for their purchase and paying for item in advance.Review from John H

The service at this business has gotten worse over the past year. I have shopped there for over a decade. Today I went in and there were no customers in the store, only one clerk talking to another male about football, their kids, their supplements of choice. I was not greeted when I went in even though the clerk looked right at me, no did he ask if I needed help finding items. I picked out 2 jars of whey protein, and put them on the check out counter. The clerk looks right at me, then goes back to gossip. After a couple of minutes I turn and walk out. The clerk just watches me leave. Why would he not serve me? Because I'm elderly (age 80)? that is age discrimination. Or because I had on a USAF hat/shirt and perhaps he doesn't like veterans. Or just he not give a ****. I am considering filing an age discrimination complaint with the *****************Review from NL

I placed an order online in June 2023. I received the first part of my order within a week. The second part of the order came within 2 weeks. After checking the website I learned the final part of my order was on backorder. From that point, I received at least three notices that stated my order would be shipped and received in July, and then August. After not receiving the order nearly 2 months after it was placed I called customer service. **************** stated that my order was held up by the delivery carrier and she would resend the shipment. I was given a new arrival time of 5-7 business days. Two weeks later, I still haven't received anything. I made a call today and the new customer service representative stated that I should have called within 30 days to resolve this and I wasn't eligible for a new order or refund! I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told I called their corporate office and there was nothing they could do. I will not be making a purchase with them again due to the poor customer service.Review from Alison V

This review is regarding the Vitamin Shoppe on **************************************************** in **********, ********. Today my husband and I who frequently visit this store came in to shop and were told the service dog in training that was with me was not welcome in the store. The employee seemed confused and thought she was a pet and tried to tell me that if another customer entered the store I would have to take the dog outside. I tried to explain that she was a service animal and not a pet and he could not ask us to leave the store. To be clear this is not an emotional support or therapy animal it was a seeing eye dog in training which under federal and ** state law (** code 51.5-44) is protected in the same way that fully trained service animals are protected i.e. cannot be denied access to public areas. I tried to explain this to the employee and they stated they didn't understand what the problem was and that next time I should have my husband hold the dog outside the store while I shopped. We walked over with two dogs, one of which is a pet who did wait outside with my husband (so clearly I was not just trying to bring my pets with me to a public place) while I and the service dog in training entered the store. The dog was in the appropriate leash, had a vest which indicated she was a service dog in training and identified the organization through which she was trained. I am writing this review because Vitamin Shoppe needs to properly educate their employees on laws regarding service animals. This is a completely unacceptable experience.Review from Lawrence L

Awful customer service. I placed a same day pick up order online three days ago. I went today, but I could not pick up my supplements that I paid for because Corporate had to verify my address. I was asked to call again in three days. I cancelled my order. The Vitamin Shoppe Response

Dear Lawrence LoMagno: First and foremost we sincerely apologize for your experience with your recent order. After review, it seems there was a technical issue with the order. We have reported this to the team that oversees the order management system so something like this does not happen in the future. As an apology, I have issued 250 points to your Healthy Awards account. I would also be happy to assist you in placing a new order or coordinating a store purchase. I asked if I could use the restroom at the Vitamin Shoppe in **********.They said customers were not allowed to use the restroom. I asked what the workers did if they needed to go and was told that they could use the restroom. The toilets were functional but a handle needed to be jiggled after you flush. That was it. Something simple and small. I offered to jiggle the handle. Still I was denied.I pulled out my billfold and was trying to show my medical card for the use of the restroom, and by this time I was begging because I said I'm about to urinate on myself. I was still denied and with anger from the employee.********* law (Statute **** Sec 31 [325E.60]) I have multiple sclerosis. The Vitamin Shoppe Response

Vitamin Shoppe headquarters in ********, ** sent me a check in error in the amount of $7,385.00. The correct amount of the check owed to me was $26.69. Upon receipt of the incorrect check, I immediately contacted The Vitamin Shoppe first by phone. After long wait periods, disconnect & being referred to an incorrect email address, I then called back again and requested the correct email address. Trying to contact the Vitamin Shoppe to advise them of their major mistake started at approximately 3:00pm EST on 9/26/22 and ended at approximately 6:00pm. Once I thought that I had the correct email address, I proceeded with email correspondence. (Manager, *************** he advised me that he had to investigate. I thought for sure that I would hear from him the next day! He did not contact me as he stated. I then again had to follow up. Now, I have spent 2 days, my time and hours trying to report this check written to me in error. For that amount of money, someone should have acted/reacted with much urgency. Going forward, and a few weeks later, I still had not received the corrected check in the amount of only $26.69. I again, followed up and the ********************** who advised me that he was unaware that I had not received the corrected check (hmmmm, wouldn't you follow up)? At this point, I requested to be referred to an upper colleague. I received an email from the Senior Director of Services, who was very apologetic. However, the Manager of ************* didn't seem too bothered. In fact, he offered me a $50 gift certificate. In closing I can't believe that trying to return a check in error would be so trying, I received the corrected check today, (10/24) however NO gift card like promised. The *** and CFO really need to know how careless this situation was handled!! I was diligent, patient and honest!! To be treated in a way I was treated due to a mistake on Vitamin Shoppe's behalf is horrible!!!!!The Vitamin Shoppe Response

Placed an order mistakenly for a 1 time payment when I wanted to use Klarna. I called them within 5 minutes of placing said order and they said they couldn't cancel it because it was already at their distribution center and too far along in the order process. The Vitamin Shoppe Response

As an instacard shopper I needed to get one porduct and ask the sales person for help to find it.The sales person told me to just look in the aisles. He was in a conversation with a co-worker and both refused to help me. And I have to mention the store was empty, no other customers where present.I mean refused. He said you get paid for your job you look for the product yourself.I ask him if this is his dscision or the companies policy, he told me it's company policy. That means for me that they are not intersted in selling their products. I will never shop their again - if it's for business or private and I will make sure my friends know about this. I just wanted to know if this is realy Vitamins Shoppe policy to refuse to help to find one product in the shelves if you are an instacard shopper????Because this doesn't sound right to me.Can I please get an answer, thank you!Store: **************, on ***************.Time: Friday, July 8, 2022 at 3:10pm If you please can let me know about the company policy in case of instacard shoppers. That would be appreciated. The Vitamin Shoppe Response
