On October 3, 2012, the BBB received numerous calls from concerned consumers who had booked tours with the company and were  reporting cancelled tours or non-responsiveness by the company to any inquiries. The BBB has confirmed that the company ceased operations October 1, 2012.  The company's website that was down at the beginning of the month,  is displaying now a notification about the company no longer being in business after almost 45 years of operations, www.clubabc.com.

Consumers who pre-paid their travel arrangements by credit card, should contact their credit card company and alert them about the status of Club ABC operations. According to information BBB has received, if travelers paid for the special 'Cancel for Any Reason Benefit'  in their Travel Protection plan  through Club ABC, this benefit is not covered in the event Club ABC ceases operations.  The insurance still covers all other benefits in the policy  as originally signed up for.  If the trip cancellation policy was purchased from an independent insurer, the 'third-party' policy may include coverage if a tour company goes out of business.

For further assistance or to file a complaint the BBB of New Jersey advises consumers to contact State Office of Consumer Protection, Consumer Service Center at (973) 504-6200.

According to information in BBB files, it appears that this business is no longer in business.
