I purchased a new a/c in January 2022. I first used it during the "heat spell" on Saturday, May 21, 2022 and it did not work. I called Midstate and he could not see me due to the weekend and then ***** came over on Monday, May 23 and said there was a "voltage problem". He supposedly fixed it but the next day there was a small amount of water leakage on the floor. The next day the manager *** came over and stated that "the condenser was not running because it was improperly installed and that "that installer is no longer with the company". Midstate has been over here a total of 5 times and the owner *** was also here. It appeared to be working for about a month and around 6 pm on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 I went into the basement because I smelled "gas or fire" above the basement in the laundry room. Much to my shock there was a huge puddle of water under the a/c pump. I videoed and took photos. I used 3 large towels to soak up the water. Because of the odor of "gas" I turned off the a/c and I called the police/fire. They came with their trucks but did not detect gas with their meters but told me if it happens again to call 911. The following day *** came over and saw the puddle of water. He carried up the wet, heavy towels for me I am disabled following unsuccessful back surgery it was too heavy for me to lift. He called me later that day after he spoke to owner *** who said that I only needed a new pump even though I asked for an entire new unit. He indicated that the company, Trane, would not just give a new unit. *** said he would call me when he the product was available. When I asked him if I could run the a/c (since it is close to 90*) he said I could. Later that day on July 6 I smelled "gas" again so I checked on unit in the basement. Again there was a HUGE puddle.. So again I called the fire department. They came and there was no gas detected on their meters. As of today July 7, 2022 I am not running the a/c. It is hot and I have asthma! Still waiting...
