On June 9, 2017 I signed a proposal contract with ***************** from BC Express and shortly afterwards BC Express installed a Lennox 3 ton ** System costing me $9,700. Included in my contract was a free first year maintenance agreement. This maintenance turned out to be nothing. The **** sent by BC Express did not even open the cover to my ** and when requested to remove dusty return cover so I could clean it said it was not his job. On August 9,2021 I called BC Express for a service call, since the ** was running, but air was not cool. The young **** looked at my system, and called the office, he then said, I needed about 4 pound of coolant and it would cost $125 per pound. I said that was outrageous, he called the office and said that if he put coolant in the coils would freeze. He then receives a call from the office ( I investigate online coolant installed costs $50- $80 per pound) and said he would charge $80 per pound. I agreed, but questioned his prior assertion that the coils would freeze, he said he made that statement in error. I discussed with the **** that I was dissatisfied that my system was not fixed and he just kept repeating that there was nothing he could do about it and that a manager would call me. I received a call from someone saying they were on the road and someone would call me the next day. I made numerous calls back and thereafter was ghosted. Since then I have done research concerning the Lennox Ac system which was installed. In 2015 a class action lawsuit, *************************** was settled concerning leaky copper coils covered by warranty between Oct 29, 2007 and July 9, 2015. However, Lennox continued to manufacture and distribute the faulty coils . BC Express as a Lennox dealer, was aware of these problems and knowingly sold me a defective system. They are the beneficiary, I am the loser. They sold a defective system, plus get to bleed me for hundred of dollars of coolant which continuously leaks. Lennox claim period ended 2017.
