    We selected Murphy Fence because others we know who have used them have had a good experience. Unfortunately, our experience was quite different and we would warn others to think twice before scheduling service with this company. First, our complaint and concern is not with the installation itself but with the particularly unprofessional and unclear communication with a number of employees at Murphy Fence throughout our experience. Because of this, the installation took months longer than anticipated. There are three specific examples of this poor communication.1. With the fence estimator. Beyond providing us with a quote for the job, the fence estimator did not offer any information about installer requirements. For example, we learned much later in the process that the fence would not be installed because of impediments in neighbors' yards. Removing these impediments were at our cost and delayed installation each time. Had we been told about these in advance, we would have taken care of them. Please note, the contract does not indicate anything about these.2. With the administrative front desk staff. When we did learn about these impediments (by chance from the fence delivery team) we were treated rudely. She asked in a sarcastic tone, "Did you know that stuff was there?" and said we'd need to have it removed for the installers to do the work. Knowing something is there and knowing that it must be removed are two different things. It was the fence company's responsibility to inform us about work conditions. 3. With the owner. The most egregious communication came from the owner when he accused us of being stupid and not caring about his workers. Nothing of the sort is true and we had been flexible to work with the company to remove impediments. His behavior was unprofessional and un-called-for. There is more, but I am out of characters to provide more detail. We are offended by the treatment we received and wouldn't work with Murphy Fence again.
