Sold me a 2009 Saturn Vue 4 months ago. 103k miles. Wasn't offed a warranty. Engine blew up, took it to their mechanic so they would know I wasn't lying. Basically said too bad, won't stand by their vehicles. I would have done better buying from someone on the street. So basically i spent $6k to drive a car for 4 months!!! Don't give them your business, you will surely regret it!!!!!!

Hello ********! I am sorry you had this experience. When the vehicle was sold to you it was in good working order, no check engine lights or engine issues. I have a signed document by you attesting. A warranty is offered with every vehicle we sell. You decided to waive the warranty in lieu of a lower price. Orig asking price was $5995 and we sold to you for $5278.87 plus fees. When we first received a phone call from you, you stated you took to your mechanic, they diagnosed it as a starter and a battery and proceeded to put those items in the vehicle, then found out that was not the problem. Per your words they then fired that mechanic who diagnosed/did the work, which seems a little off to me for such a small issue. They then told you they could not fix your vehicle. We offered our outside mechanic to take a look at your vehicle due to the fact that your mechanic does not work on engines. In no way did we accuse you of lying or think you were lying. We offered our outside mechanic to you for a correct diagnosis since again your mechanic could not give it one nor fix it. When you spoke to our in house mechanic he asked if you had your oil changed or checked as those codes could come from lack of oil and you did tell him the last time it was checked it was low, which could have led to the problem you are having now.Unfortunately, after the AS-IS paper is signed there really isn't much we can do. When going over the paper work page by page when we get to the AS-IS paper I do ask the customer to take the time to read exactly what AS-IS means and then sign. I cannot force anyone to read it but I always highly suggest they do. I do also have that document signed by you as well. With that being said there have been times when an issue arises within the first few weeks that we are able to assist the customer with an issue. After ownership has been over five months it is the sole responsibility of the consumer to maintain their vehicle. With the over 140 cars we sold last year we had maybe 2-3 that had an issue we needed to assist with. That is a pretty good track record for used cars. It is unfortunate that we cannot see further into the future when it comes to vehicles. We can only fix what we see prior to selling and that is exactly what we do. Before a vehicle is listed it is thoroughly inspected mechanically and safety and items that need addressing are fixed. If they are not it is disclosed in the listing. Documentation can be provided if required. I do also have copies of the original internet listing stating Warranty Available. Thank you and have a blessed ******** ********!
