I have been on their yearly service plan for the last 8 years. Having them come out and do service in the spring/ and then again in the fall to help avoid problems. So I called to see about being on the schedule for the spring maintenance and was told that I was on the “do not service “ list and asked why and she said that the owner had decided that because I questioned the time/bill when they had a service technician come out on April 19th of this year. Let me lay out how things went, and you can decide. April 19th 8;15—Initial call to office. 8:30—Office manager calls me back 9:19—Tech calls me and says that he is on his way to my house. 10:11-Tech is finished and leaves at this time. My take is that I am paying from the time he calls me until the job is done. I tried to talk to the office manager about this and she informed me that I needed to talk to the owner of the business Walter ******. She was now saying that the tech actually left shortly after she called me back (8:30) and that is what she based the billing off, even though the tech didn’t arrive until about 9:40. So it took the tech 1 hour and 10 minutes to drive 20 miles from ** ***** to *******. I asked her to have Walter give me a call. This was before Memorial Day and I finally heard from the Owner on the Wednesday after the holiday. He called and I asked what he had been told and he really didn’t have a great answer so as I started to tell my side of the story and he hung up on me. I tried multiple times to call him back but he would not answer. I then went to their office to try and get this sorted out and the Owner wasn’t there, and I asked again for him to call me. He called me later in the day and accused me of being a tough guy and scaring his office manager and wanted me to come down to his office after 5 so he could beat me up. Obviously I am done with this company and would advise you to stay away.

Jeff, I decided that we shouldn't keep you as a customer. You have been a hot-head for a long time and I decided that my service techs and office manager didn't need to take your abuse any longer. I think the fact that you called my phone (7) times in less than 3 hours while I was in a meeting says a little about you. Additionally, you tearing through the parking lot, coming to the office and acting erratically to my office manager, who was at the office by herself, is unacceptable. You tried to bully and intimidate her, that is the reason I called you out.  Your actions that day are a reflection of the person you are and Carter's does not need a customer like that. If you would like I can send you the video footage from our security cameras just in case you forgot what happened during your episode.

There are many Heating & Cooling companies available that can take care of your needs, Carter's is not one of them.
