Complaint
Miss communication for the services needed and not doing what was requested, and than being charged.
The best way to issue my complaint is to sent you the letter I sent after being told they only put freon in and was hung up on...I have a concern: I believe there was some miss-communications with servicing my air-conditioner. I am a dissatisfied customer. Please let me explain why. I called on a Thursday in ****, I believe the 20th, stating that my air conditioner was not cooling, that the unit needed to be checked out (I thought the unit may need to be replaced) and I thought the unit would need freon that I priced and told the receptionist that if any repairs needed to be done to have them call with an estimate. The receptionist stated on the invoice, that we wanted to be called. I was also told the serviceman would be out Monday morning, **** *******.

I stayed home from work that morning, waiting for the serviceman to show, late morning I called in to find out the serviceman could not be there till afternoon he was the only one working, the other serviceman was on vacation. For whatever the reason, excessive service calls for customers or complicated jobs, the serviceman came in the afternoon.( I returned to work) The serviceman never called to tell us anything was wrong or what he was going to do. In good faith I assumed the air conditioner had no leaks or issues since that was part of the service we had requested, and freon was put in the air conditioner without communication.

Six days later the unit wasn't cooling but I figured it was because the humidity was high. Then on the fourth of **** when I had a house full of company, we had NO air conditioning: the service call was to help avoid this. We could have had someone else hold the event if the air conditioner wasn't going to be working.

I called in **** 5 and a different serviceman was than sent out again. Within 10 minutes he told me the unit was shot inside.The freon should have never been put in. I fear the first serviceman took the easy way out and didn't check out the unit. We needed a new air conditioner.

Because of the way the first service call went, we did not purchase a unit from you. And I don't believe that I should have to pay for the serviceman's error. He caused me lost wages and stress on the holiday, this may have been avoid if there had been communication with us. I understand that you were busy but you had both phone numbers.

I will pay for the call to come out, but if the freon was a temporary fix to cool my home for a few days, I could have used fans till the unit could be service correctly. The serviceman should have called and explained instead of putting the freon in and having it leak out in six days.

Once again the women from account payable called because I had not made a payment because of my concern, when I tried to explain to her she said the serviceman only was putting freon in, and wasn't servicing the units and I had to pay,she was rude and hung up. The business as cashed my check for the service call that I said I would pay. Am I wrong?

Not to pay for the freon that was put in without checking for leaks or calling me.

***** **** called from co. said the consumer called and said she wanted her unit checked and make it cool it was a very hot day with lots of appts and they got to her residence when they could and checked the outside unit all was good so put freon in the unit. The consumer called back after a few days and said it wasnt cooling so a Technican came out this time and looked on inside and found a coil leaking and it was not repairable so the tech talked to her about a new unit.She was billed for the Freon and now does not want to pay the bill.

When I called to request service for my air conditioning unit I didn't speak to ***** ****. The receptionist I did speak to stated they would be out Monday morning and I stayed home to let them into my home and to discuss what issues may arise. Returning to work I did leave the house unlock expecting them to go inside. I never said that I needed to have the air conditioner cool, no matter what,because it was hot. I wanted to know what was wrong with the unit and "if" it needed freon. I did say it wasn't cooling. Once again communication is poor, I asked to have the air conditioning "Unit" check out because we had to do repairs five years ago. I knew it was old and may need more than just freon.
I thought the air conditioning "unit" included inside and out. Correct me if I am wrong, the air conditioner part outside is called the condenser and the inside is the A-frame evaporator, both part of the air conditioning "unit".
Once again the first statement we received from A-1 said right on it "to call before anything was done. NO one called before putting the freon in. The office was aware that we wanted to be notified of the findings. I never gave permission for the freon to be added.
