      My car was towed in January 8th, 2022 and returned to me August 16th, 2022. There was a large list of things to be serviced: engine swap, brake pads, wiper blades, entire washer system, tire rotation, air filter replacement , all fluid swap and an O2 sensor. After putting more than half the payment down, I was promised it would be done in two weeks after January 17. I was offered a loaner vehicle, as per usual businesses and no signed contract, no mileage limit was enforced and only had possession of the loaner for 6 months. Each time I went in, we discussed why it was taking so long, what I can do to move the process along included getting it towed elsewhere. I was refused access to my car, wasn't able to get it out, nor given an exact completion date. I offered to watch his children so he could specifically work on my vehicle so I could get it back as soon as possible. I then watched his children a total of 276 hours and we agreed to swapping labor for hours watching the kids to help us both out. On August 16 2022, I was presented with still a bill due of $**** to them. I then gave them documentation for hours watching his children and to let me know if we had further business period as I was willing to take a wash. August 19, 2022, I was messaged by the shop owner's wife that I still had a due balance of $****, I had to also then pay for the miles put on the loaner and a $*** discount was sufficient for me to lose 7.5 months of work, the loaner couldn't highway drive, no out of town use, had no air bags, couldn't drive at night and at any moment could be taken back as it was a loaner. I brought my car into another shop August 17, 2022, as the drain plug wasn't in so oil was leaking everywhere, the tires were set at 56psi, the entirety of the original list wasn't completed and now I am 7 months out of my 12 month warranty for my refurbished engine.
