Buying a CAR
The BBB suggests that if you are interested in purchasing a car to keep the following tips in mind: 1. Make sure any estimates are contained in writing signed by the owner or manager. 2. Be sure that the make, model, options and warranty are clearly defined. 3. If you do not understand the purchase price of the car, ask for an explanation. 4. When you get an estimate for the purchase price, make sure you understand what the payments will be and get the purchase price of the car in writing signed by the owner/manager. 5. Be sure to READ AND UNDERSTAND THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING.......DO NOT SIGN A BLANK CONTRACT. 6. Make sure that you get any oral promises in writing 7. Get a copy of all the papers you sign. 8. If it is a used auto, understand that once you leave the dealership with the car, it is yours. You will get the car AS IS. The only warranty is whatever the dealership puts down on paper.
