CONSUMER ALERT!!! Josh, from Grassland Plumbing, Franklin, TN refused to provide a written email estimate to replace 5 home toilets. I asked for an email proposal to clarify, validate and restate (confirm) what Josh alleged to have texted me by phone. I've provided the last to-from text messages for BBB and consumer reference. Especially poignant is Josh's (Grassland Plumbing) response to my request for a written estimate. This sums up why no one should use this business; especially, women. FROM: Customer As discussed, text messages do not clearly state the work and agreement; such as toilet make, model numbers, toilets seats, levers and total cost. I cannot have you ordering your recommended toilets; which I don't want. I do appreciate your recommendations; but, regardless of the high extra cost, I know what I want. You didn't state when you expect to start work, if I pay before, or after the work is completed etc. Getting all this understanding beforehand keeps everyone on the same page and avoids any misunderstandings before, or in the middle of the job. FROM: Josh at Grassland Plumbing I had a chance to read your text in depth. Let me be perfectly clear. you do not tell me how I run my business. Do I come into your home and tell you how to vacuum or fold clothes? No I do not. I am here to serve the customer but I will not be told by you or anybody how to conduct my business. I am highly insulted by the choice of words that you have used. I simply offered you some toilets at a cheaper price you made it perfectly clear that you did not like them. I sent the bid for the toilets requested of what you wanted it's all in the texts. I was very clear on the phone as well. This is Tennessee not California.I have contacted the contractor I referred to you and told him It would be wise to not do your work after my interactions with you. I am removing your number please do not contact us as we are not interested in doing work for you. Ever. END

I have several text messages from this person. She is not a client of Grassland Plumbing Inc. she has never paid any money to Grassland Plumbing Inc. Grassland Plumbing Inc. has never been in her home. We gave her a quote over the phone she said to send it via text. I sent it via text. That's how we do business. I told her we do not do emails. She became extremely belligerent. I asked her to please remove our number and not call us again as we do not tolerate violence from people. Therefore, her assessment is in accurate and I think it would be unfair and extremely detrimental to Grassland Plumbing Inc. as she is not a paying customer and we have never done work for her.

Grassland Plumbing TEXT Response to Consumer:

"...That's funny, your one star rating with the Better Business Bureau means nothing. You are not a paying customer I've never been in your home. Your complaint has no merit I've already spoken to them everything is taken care of. Welcome to Tennessee!"

This consumer uses the BBB-Nashville to obtain qualified, licensed, professionals w/ethics for home improvements/renovation projects. I vetted this business over the phone and attempted to obtain a contract for work; or, at a minimum...an email agreement as to price and terms; this business refused. It's real simple, as a consumer...I move on to the next business that meets my work criteria. Grassland Plumbing goes into a texting rage that continues the next day; VERY unprofessional.

I recommend that the BBB downgrade this company's BBB rating. Grassland Plumbing has numerous negative online website reviews; consumers are reporting this company to have multiple issues when working w/around women.
